Claims (25)
- 基端が超音波振動を発生する手段に作用的に接続され或いは接続可能で且つ先端に近接して作用要素を備えた細長い導波管手段を有し、
この導波管手段が第1の径を有し、
上記作用要素が上記第1の径より小さい第2の径を有する細長い作動体要素を有し、
上記作用要素の基端が、上記導波管手段内で発生された超音波振動の節面に実質的に配置された第1のステップ接合部を規定する外科ツール。 - 上記作動体要素の先端は、超音波振動の非節面に配置されている請求項1の外科ツール。
- 上記作用要素が、上記導波管手段と上記作動体手段との間を延び、且つ上記第1および第2の径の間の第3の径を有する細長い中間部分を有し、この中間部分は、その先端で上記作動体手段を伴う第1のステップ接合部を規定し、その基端で上記導波管手段を伴う第2のステップ接合部を規定する請求項1或いは請求項2の外科ツール。
- 上記第2のステップ接合部は、実質的に、上記導波管手段における上記超音波振動の非節面に配置されている請求項3の外科ツール。
- 上記中間部分は、その中の上記超音波振動の波長の1/4に実質的に一致する長さを有する請求項3或いは請求項4の外科ツール。

- 上記作動体要素の上記第2の径は、上記導波管手段の上記第1の径の1/3と2/3との間である請求項1乃至請求項6のいずれかの外科ツール。

- 上記作用面は、浅い縦稜部に沿って隣り合う実質的に平らな2つの面を有する請求項23の外科ツール。
