Description
Claims (22)
- 電極アセンブリーであって、
複数の電気化学的セルを重ね合わせてなり、かつ、前記重ね合わせた電気化学的セル同士の間に連続的なセパレータシートを配置してなる構造に構築されてなり、
前記複数の電気化学的セルが、基本単位として、カソード/セパレータ/アノード構造から形成されてなるものであり、
前記セパレータシートにより取り囲まれた単位電極が、巻き上げの開始点である、前記重ね合わせた電気化学的セルの中央に配置されてなり、かつ、前記単位電極の上及び下に配置された前記フルセルが、前記単位電極に対して前記フルセルの電極の方向で互いに対称的である、電極アセンブリー。 - 電極アセンブリーであって、
複数の電気化学的セルを重ね合わせてなり、かつ、前記重ね合わせた電気化学的セル同士の間に連続的なセパレータシートを配置してなる構造に構築されてなり、
前記複数の電気化学的セルが、基本単位として、カソード/セパレータ/アノード構造から形成されてなるものであり、
i) 前記セパレータシートにより取り囲まれた、カソード/セパレータ/アノード/セパレータ/カソード構造を有するバイ-セル(「A型バイ-セル」)が、或いは、
ii) 前記セパレータシートにより取り囲まれた、アノード/セパレータ/カソード/セパレータ/アノード構造を有するバイ-セル(「C型バイ-セル」)が、
巻き上げの開始点である、前記重ね合わせた電気化学的セルの中央に配置されてなり、かつ、前記バイ-セルの上及び下に配置された前記フルセルが、前記バイ-セルに対して前記フルセルの電極の方向で互いに対称的である、電極アセンブリー。 - 前記セパレータシートが、それぞれの電気化学的セルを取り囲むのに十分な単位長さを有してなり、かつ、前記セパレータシートが単位長さ毎に内側に向けて折り曲げられ、前記中央の単位電極又は前記中央のバイ-セルから最も外側にある前記フルセルに向けて、前記単位電極又は前記中央のバイ-セル及び前記フルセルを順に取り囲んでなるものである、請求項1又は2に記載の電極アセンブリー。
- 前記フルセルが、
i)カソード/セパレータ/アノード構造、又は
ii)カソード/セパレータ/アノード/セパレータ/カソード/セパレータ/アノード構造を有してなるものである、請求項1又は2に記載の電極アセンブリー。 - 巻き上げの開始点である、前記重ね合わせた電気化学的セルの中央に配置されてなる、前記単位電極又は前記バイ-セルが、アノード又はC型バイ-セルである、請求項1又は2に記載の電極アセンブリー。
- 前記電極アセンブリーが、アノードが前記電極アセンブリーの最上層及び最下層に位置し、前記電極アセンブリーの外側表面を形成するように構築されてなる、請求項1又は2に記載の電極アセンブリー。
- カソード又はA型バイ-セルが、巻き上げの開始点である、前記重ね合わせた電気化学的セルの中央に配置されてなる場合、C型バイ-セルが前記電極アセンブリーの最上層及び最下層に配置されてなる、請求項6に記載の電極アセンブリー。
- 前記セパレータシートの最も外側にある末端が、熱溶接又はテープにより固定される、請求項1又は2に記載の電極アセンブリー。
- 前記セパレータ又は前記セパレータシートが、微細孔質ポリエチレンフィルム、ポリプロピレンフィルム、前記ポリエチレンフィルムと前記ポリプロピレンフィルムの組合せにより製造される多層フィルム、並びにポリマー電解質用の、ポリマーフィルム、ポリフッ化ビニリデン、ポリエチレンオキシド、ポリアクリロニトリル、及びポリフッ化ビニリデンヘキサフルオロプロピレン共重合体からなる群から選択された一種から製造されてなるものである、請求項1又は2に記載の電極アセンブリー。
- 前記カソードが、カソード集電装置の対向する主要表面をカソード材料で被覆することにより製造された電極であり、
前記アノードが、アノード集電装置の対向する主要表面をアノード材料で被覆することにより製造された電極である、請求項1又は2に記載の電極アセンブリー。 - 請求項1又は2に記載の電極アセンブリーを備えてなる、二次バッテリー。
- 前記二次バッテリーがリチウム二次バッテリーである、請求項11に記載の二次バッテリー。
- 単位電池として請求項12に記載の二次バッテリーを備えてなる、中型又は大型バッテリーモジュール。
- 電極アセンブリーの製造方法であって、
前記電極アセンブリーが、複数の電気化学的セルを重ね合わせてなり、かつ、前記重ね合わせた電気化学的セル同士の間に連続的なセパレータシートを配置してなる構造に構築されてなり、
前記複数の電気化学的セルが、基本単位として、カソード/セパレータ/アノード構造から形成されてなるものであり、
1) 前記カソードシートと前記アノードシートとの間にセパレータを配置し、長いカソードシート及び長いアノードシートを積み重ね、前記積重構造を予め決められたサイズに切断し、複数のフルセルを製造すること、
2) カソード又はアノードである単位電極を長いセパレータシートの第一段階に配置し、工程1で製造した前記フルセル(第一フルセル、第二フルセル、第三フルセル...)を、第二段階から予め決められた間隔で、同じ電極の向きで配置すること、及び
3) 前記単位電極を前記セパレータシートと共に一回巻き上げ、かつ、前記第一フルセルから隣接するフルセルが配置されている外側に向けて、前記セパレータシートを折り曲げて、前記それぞれのフルセルを重なり合せてなることを含んでなる、製造方法。 - 電極アセンブリーの製造方法であって、
前記電極アセンブリーが、複数の電気化学的セルを重ね合わせてなり、かつ、前記重ね合わせた電気化学的セル同士の間に連続的なセパレータシートを配置してなる構造に構築されてなり、
前記複数の電気化学的セルが、基本単位として、カソード/セパレータ/アノード構造から形成されてなるものであり、
1) 前記カソードシートと前記アノードシートとの間にセパレータを配置し、長いカソードシート及び長いアノードシートを積み重ね、前記積重構造を予め決められたサイズに切断し、複数のフルセルを製造すること、
2) A型バイ-セル又はC型バイ-セルを長いセパレータシートの第一段階に配置し、工程1で製造した前記フルセル(第一フルセル、第二フルセル、第三フルセル...)を、第二段階から予め決められた間隔で、同じ電極の向きで配置すること、及び
3) 前記バイ-セルを前記セパレータシートと共に一回巻き上げ、かつ、前記第一フルセルから隣接するフルセルが配置されている外側に向けて、前記セパレータシートを折り曲げて、前記それぞれのフルセルを重なり合せてなることを含んでなる、製造方法。 - 前記巻き上げの前に、工程2)で配置した前記単位電極又は前記バイ-セル及び前記フルセルを、前記セパレータシートに取り付けることをさらに含んでなる、請求項14又は15に記載の方法。
- 工程2)で、前記フルセルを配置し、前記フルセルの上部電極が、前記セパレータシートの第一段階に配置された前記単位電池又はバイ-セルの底部電極の極性と反対の極性を有するものである、請求項14又は15に記載の方法。
- 前記フルセルが巻き上げられ、
前記第一フルセルが、前記第三フルセルの上部電極の極性と反対の極性を有する底部電極を有してなるものであり、
前記第二フルセルが、前記第四フルセルの上部電極の極性と反対の極性を有する底部電極を有してなるものであり、
前記第三フルセルが、前記第五フルセルの上部電極の極性と反対の極性を有する底部電極を有してなるものである、請求項14又は15に記載の方法。 - 工程2)で、前記セパレータシートの前記第一段階において配置された前記単位電極又は前記バイ-セルが、前記巻き上げを開始する前記セパレータシートの末端から、少なくとも前記単位電極の幅と厚さの合計に等しい間隔を置いて配置されてなり、及び
前記第二及びそれに続くフルセルが、各フルセルの厚さと、巻き上げにより増加する前記セパレータシートの厚さの合計に等しい間隔で配置されてなる、請求項14又は15に記載の方法。 - 工程2)で、前記第一フルセルが、前記セパレータシートの前記第一段階に位置する前記単位電極又は前記バイ-セルから、少なくとも前記単位電極又は前記バイ-セルの幅と、厚さの合計に等しい間隔を置いて配置されてなり、及び
前記第二及びそれに続くフルセルを、各フルセルの厚さと、及び巻き上げにより増加する前記セパレータシートの厚さの合計に等しい間隔で配置されてなる、請求項14又は15に記載の方法。 - 前記セパレータシートの最終段階に位置する単位電池(第n番目のセル)及び第n番目のセルに隣接する第n-1番目のセルが、前記第n番目及び第n-1番目のセルの底部電極がアノードになるように構築されてなる、請求項14又は15に記載の方法。
- カソード又はA型バイ-セルが前記セパレータシートの第一段階に位置する場合、前記第n番目及び第n-1番目のセルがC型バイ-セルである、請求項21に記載の方法。
