Abstract

Description
本発明は、概して、多元接続システムでの遠隔装置運用に関し、さらに特定すると、遠隔装置内での電力節約に関する。
無線電話通信システムにおいて、多くのユーザーは、無線チャンネル上で通信し、他の無線電話システムおよび有線電話システムに接続する。無線チャンネル上での通信は、多様な多元接続技法の内の1つである。これらの多元接続技法は、時分割多重アクセス(TDMA)、周波数分割多重アクセス(FDMA)、および符号分割多重アクセス(CDMA)を含む。CDMA技法は多くの利点を有している。典型的なCDMAシステムは、本発明の譲受人に譲渡され、参照してここに組み込まれる、1990年2月13日にK.Gilhousenらに対し発行され、「衛星または地上中継器を使用するスペクトル拡散多元接続通信システム(SPREAD SPECTRUMMULTIPLE ACCESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM USING SATELLITE OR TERRE STRIAL REPEATERS)」と題する米国特許第4,901,307号に記述される。

Claims (20)
- ディスパッチシステム内の遠隔装置の電力消費を削減するための、
順方向リンク一斉送信信号を基地局から送信するステップと、
前記順方向リンク一斉送信信号を第1遠隔装置で受信し、頻繁に復号化し、前記順方向リンク一斉送信信号がアクティブ信号を含むかどうかを判断するステップと、
前記遠隔装置が、前記順方向リンク一斉送信信号がある期間T1の間アクティブ信号を含まないと判断する場合に、前記遠隔装置によって第1活動休止状態に入り、前記遠隔装置が、前記第1遠隔装置で前記順方向リンク一斉送信信号をときどき受信し、復号化するステップと、
前記遠隔装置の電力消費を前記第1活動休止状態で削減するステップと、
を含む方法。 - 第1遠隔装置によって受話状態に入り、前記第1遠隔装置が順方向リンク一斉送信チャンネルを頻繁にモニタし、必要ならば高められた一斉送信電力に対する要求を送信するステップと、
前記頃方向リンク一斉送信チャンネルでの活動レベルが予め定められた活動レベルを下回るときに、前記第1遠隔装置によって、第1活動休止状態に入り、前記第1活動休止状態では前記第1遠隔装置が、時間期間で離れて間隔を置かれる第1の予め定められたセットのタイムスロットの間だけ、前記順方向リンク一斉送信チャンネルをモニタし、必要ならば、高められた一斉送信電力に対する要求を送信するステップと、
を含む、ディスパッチシステムの遠隔装置で電力を節約する方法。 - さらに、前記第1活動休止状態を終了し、第2活動休止状態に入り、前記第1遠隔装置が、前記第1の予め定められたセットのタイムスロットより、時間で離れてさらに大きく間隔が空けられた、第2の予め定められたセットのタイムスロットの間だけ、前記順方向リンク一斉送信チャンネルをモニタし、必要ならば、高められた一斉送信電力に対する要求を送信するステップを含む、請求項2に記載される方法。
- さらに、一斉送信警報が、前記順方向リンク一斉送信チャンネルで送信される場合に、前記第1活動休止状態を終了し、前記受話状態に再び入るステップを含む、請求項2に記載される方法。
- 基地局が、第2遠隔装置からのプッシュツートーク(Push−to−Talk)アクセスメッセージの受信に応えて前記一斉送信警報を作成する、請求項4に記載される方法。
- さらに、前記第1活動休止状態を終了し、前記第1遠隔装置によって作成されるプッシュツートーク(Push−to−Talk)表示に応えてアクセス状態に入るステップを含む、請求項2に記載される方法。
- さらに、前記プッシュツートーク(Push−to−Talk)表示の解放に応えて、前記アクセス状態から前記受話状態に再び入るステップを含む、請求項6に記載される方法。
- さらに、第2遠隔装置に、第2装置活動休止状態を終了させ、第2装置受話状態に入らせるように、前記プッシュツートーク(Push−to−Talk)表示に応えて、前記順方向リンク一斉送信チャンネルで一斉送信警報を送信するステップを含む、請求項6に記載される方法。
- 前記第1遠隔装置が、前記第1活動休止状態に自動的に入る、請求項2に記載される方法。
- 前記第1遠隔装置が、前記順方向リンク一斉送信チャンネルでのコマンドに応えて、前記第1活動休止状態に入る、請求項2に記載される方法。
- 前記第1遠隔装置が、前記順方向リンク一斉送信チャンネルでのコマンドに応えて、前記第2活動休止状態に入る、請求項3に記載される方法。
- さらに、ネット番号をダイヤルし、信号を基地局に送信することによって通信を初期化するステップを含む、請求項2に記載される方法。
- さらに、一斉送信ネットが確立されていない場合にアイドル状態に入るステップを含み、前記受話状態に入る前記ステップが、前記一斉送信ネットが確立されたことを示す、前記基地局からのページに応えて実行される、請求項12に記載される方法。
- 前記順方向リンク一斉送信チャンネルが、符号分割多重アクセスシグナリングを使用する、請求項12に記載される方法。
- 前記第1遠隔装置が、プッシュツートーク(Push−to−Talk)ディスパッチ装置としてだけではなく、2地点間電話としても使用される、請求項2に記載される方法。
- 前記基地局が、ディスパッチ基地局だけではなく、2地点間基地局として機能する、請求項12に記載される方法。
- それぞれが、受話状態で頻繁に順方向リンク一斉送信チャンネルを受信し、前記順方向リンク一斉送信チャンネルでのリンク活動をモニタする複数の遠隔装置であって、前記複数の遠隔装置が、前記リンク活動が予め定められたしきい値を下回る場合に、第1活動休止状態に入る、複数の遠隔装置と、
アクセスチャンネル上で前記複数の遠隔装置の内の1つから受信されるプッシュツートーク(Push−to−Talk)表示に応えて、前記順方向リンク一斉送信チャンネルで一斉送信警報を生成するように構成され、前記一斉送信警報が前記複数の遠隔装置に前記第1活動休止状態を終了するように命令する基地局と、
を備える、ディスパッチシステムで遠隔装置電力を節約するためのシステム。 - 順方向リンク一斉送信チャンネルを頻繁に受信するための手段と、
前記順方向リンク一斉送信チャンネル上での活動のレベルを決定するための手段と、
前記順方向リンク一斉送信チャンネル上の活動の前記レベルが、予め定められた活動レベルを下回る場合に、時間で離れて間隔が置かれる、第1の予め定められたセットのタイムスロットの間、前記順方向リンク一斉送信チャンネルを受信するための手段と、
を備える、ディスパッチシステムで動作する遠隔装置を制御するための機器。 - さらに、前記遠隔装置が、前記第1の予め定められたセットのタイムスロットの間、前記順方向リンク一斉送信チャンネルを受信しているときに、前記遠隔装置によって消費される電力の量を削減するための手段を備える、請求項18に記載される機器。
- さらに、前記第1の予め定められたセットのタイムスロットより時間でさらに大きく離れて間隔が置かれる第2の予め定められたセットのタイムスロットの間、前記順方向リンク一斉送信チャンネル上での前記活動レベルが第2の予め定められた活動レベルを下回る場合にだけ、前記順方向リンク一斉送信チャンネルを受信するための手段を備える、請求項19に記載される遠隔装置の制御のための機器。
