Abstract
Description
表1は、例えば容器(vessel)またはレードル(ladle)のスラグライン部のような高温または低温の耐熱構造物(structure:構造、構造部)の上に塗布される耐熱性物質を示している。以下の耐熱性物質の配合(formulation:組成)は、全ての材料(ingredients:原料、構成材料、成分)をミキサ(混合器)に入れた後、3分間だけ乾式(乾燥)混合(dry mixed)されたものである。
表2は、例えば容器またはレードルのスラグライン部のような高温または低温の耐熱構造物の上に塗布される耐熱性物質を示している。以下の耐熱性物質の配合は、全ての材料をミキサに入れた後、3分間だけ乾式混合されたものである。

Claims (19)
- 高密度マトリックスを有する耐熱性物質を実現するのに適した組成物であって、
20乃至95重量%のマグネシアを基材とする耐熱性物質と、
0.1乃至5.0重量%の結合剤と、
2.0乃至10重量%の炭酸カルシウムであって、高密度マトリックスを有する前記耐熱性物質を形成し、改良された耐腐食性のための反応性の水酸化カルシウムを形成するように、熱に曝されたときに反応する炭酸カルシウムと、
を含む組成物。 - 前記結合剤は、有機酸、アルカリケイ酸塩およびアルカリリン酸塩からなる群から選択されるものである、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記マグネシアを基材とする耐熱性物質は、60乃至88重量%の量で存在するものである、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- さらに、0.2乃至8.0重量%の量の水酸化カルシウムを含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- さらに、0.1乃至2.0重量%の量の可塑剤を含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記可塑剤がベントナイトである、請求項5に記載の組成物。
- さらに、0.1乃至1.0重量%の量の分散剤を含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記分散剤がクエン酸である、請求項7に記載の組成物。
- 前記結合剤はヘキサメタリン酸ナトリウムであり、前記ヘキサメタリン酸ナトリウムは0.2乃至5.0重量%の量で存在するものである、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記結合剤はスルファミン酸であり、前記スルファミン酸は0.2乃至3.0重量%の量で存在するものである、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記炭酸カルシウムは、2.0乃至7.0重量%の量で存在し、概ね325メッシュより小さい粒度を有するものである、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記炭酸カルシウムは、概ね325メッシュより小さい粒度を有する極微細な部分、および概ね20メッシュより小さい粒度を有するより粗い部分として存在し、前記より粗い部分は、15重量%の40メッシュより大きい粒度、75重量%の100メッシュより大きい粒度、および92重量%の200メッシュより大きい粒度を有するものである、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記極微細な部分は2.5乃至3.5重量%の量で存在し、前記より粗い部分は2.5乃至3.5重量%の量で存在するものである、請求項12に記載の組成物。
- 前記極微細な部分は3.5乃至4.5重量%の量で存在し、前記より粗い部分は3.5乃至4.5重量%の量で存在する、請求項12に記載の組成物。
- さらに、0.2乃至3.0重量%のスルファミン酸を含む、請求項13に記載の組成物。
- さらに、0.2乃至5.0重量%のヘキサメタリン酸ナトリウムを含む、請求項14に記載の組成物。
- 溶融金属を収容する容器におけるライニングに、高密度マトリックスを有する耐熱性物質を供給する方法であって、
20乃至95重量%のマグネシアを基材とする耐熱性物質と、
0.1乃至5.0重量%の結合剤と、
2.0乃至10重量%の炭酸カルシウムであって、高密度マトリックス物質を有する前記耐熱性物質を形成し、改良された耐腐食性のための反応性の水酸化カルシウムを形成するように、熱に曝されたときに反応する炭酸カルシウムとを、
前記ライニングに塗布する方法。 - 前記耐熱性物質は、吹きつけによって前記ライニングに塗布されるものである、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記耐熱性物質は、厚さ約2.54cm(1インチ)乃至約30.48cm(12インチ)の層の形態で前記ライニングに塗布されるものである、請求項17に記載の方法。
