Abstract
Description
表1 プロセスの間のセルロース損失の防止における触媒の役割を示す。触媒の不在下ではセルロース損失が30%を超え、この損失は、触媒を用いるとき約5%まで低減された。
a)(i)有機溶媒の混合物を供給するための第1の入口、(ii)第2の入口、及び(iii)少なくとも1つの出口を有する、バイオマスを含むための反応器チャンバ;
b)ストリームを反応器チャンバに供給するための、反応器チャンバの第2の入口に流体連通しているボイラー;
c)反応器チャンバからの加水分解物を受容するための、反応器チャンバの出口に連結している受容器;
d)水性フラクション中の微量の溶媒を除去し且つ溶媒フラクション中にリグニンを沈殿させるためのストリーム蒸留アセンブリ
を含むシステムも提供する。
プロセスへの触媒の効果
100gのスイートスルガムバガスを反応器に添加した。このバガスに、コントロールラン用の60%ブタノール含有1%硫酸、及び0.5mmolの硫酸銅又は硫酸第一鉄アンモニウム又は硫酸鉄のいずれかを溶解して有する60%ブタノール含有1%硫酸を添加し、15%の固体濃度を得た。次いで反応器を、ストリーム注入を行いながら160℃に加熱した。内容物を当該温度で10分間保持した後、内容物を加圧下で濾過した。

前処理された残渣の酵素糖化のしやすさ
実施例1の実験ランと同様にして得られた固体残渣の10%スラリーを、市販のセルラーゼ酵素調製物を用いて60FPU/gの酵素負荷で糖化した。内容物を50℃において4.5のpHで24時間にわたってインキュベートした。インキュベーション時間の後、糖を分析して糖化割合を推定した。表2の糖化結果は、前処理された残渣のセルラーゼ酵素への感受性を明白に示す。得られたセルロースが24時間以内に完全糖化を受けやすいことが結論づけられる。任意の従来プロセスを用いて得られたセルロースでは、糖化時間は数日である。

Claims (15)
- バイオマスからセルロースを完全な酵素加水分解を受けやすい形態で得るプロセスであって、バイオマスを水非混和性有機溶媒、酸、及び酸性水溶液に溶解された金属塩触媒の混合物と所定の温度及び圧力下で接触させること、並びに反応混合物を加圧下で濾過して溶媒及び水相に溶解したリグニン、ヘミセルロースをそれぞれ分離すること、さらに、純粋なセルロースを残すことを含むプロセス。
- 水非混和性溶媒が、高級アルコール類を含む群から選択される、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 高級アルコール類が、ブタノール、イソアミルアルコールを含む群から選択される、請求項2に記載のプロセス。
- 溶媒対酸性水比が、40:60〜80:20の範囲である、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 酸が鉱酸である、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 金属塩触媒が、硫酸銅、硫酸鉄、硫酸第一鉄アンモニウム、硫酸ニッケル、硫酸ナトリウム、塩化鉄を含む群から選択される、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 酸濃度が、水の約1%(v/v)である、請求項5に記載のプロセス。
- 触媒濃度が、酸性水の0.1%〜3%(w/v)の範囲である、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 所定の温度が120℃〜220℃の範囲である、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 所定の圧力は、1.5〜20Barの範囲である、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 前記プロセスを10〜30分の時間にわたって実施する、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- バイオマスからセルロースを得るためのシステムであって:
a)(i)有機溶媒の混合物を供給するための第1の入口、(ii)第2の入口、及び(iii)少なくとも1つの出口を有する、バイオマスを含有するための反応器チャンバ;
b)ストリームを反応器チャンバに供給するための、反応器チャンバの第2の入口に流体連通しているボイラー;
c)反応器チャンバからの加水分解物を受容するための、反応器チャンバの出口に連結している受容器;
d)水性フラクション中の微量の溶媒を除去し且つ溶媒フラクション中にリグニンを沈殿させるためのストリーム蒸留アセンブリ
を含むシステム。 - 反応器チャンバの第1の入口が、有機溶媒の混合物を含む容器と流体連通している、請求項12に記載のバイオマスからセルロースを得るためのシステム。
- 受容器がボイラーと流体連通している、請求項12に記載のバイオマスからセルロースを得るためのシステム。
- ストリーム蒸留アセンブリが、濃縮器及び濃縮器からの濃縮物を収集するための受容器を含む、請求項12に記載のバイオマスからセルロースを得るためのシステム。
