【解決手段】溶着チップ4に対する電圧の印加を、溶着工程において中途で停止する。その後の溶融は、溶着チップ1の余熱で溶着を行う。このようにすると、少なくとも余熱での溶着段階では電圧の影響を受けないから、品質が安定し、然も電力の消費を抑えることができる。最終段階における溶着チップ及びボスの温度は残熱だけのため、冷却時の負荷が減少したことにより冷却時間の短縮化が可能となり、結果として生産性が高まる。

Description
それは、所定温度内に加熱制御された溶着こては、初期位置から先端が被溶着物に接して該被溶着物を所定量だけ溶融するまでの移動量が変位量検出手段によって検出される。前記溶着こての昇降動を制御する駆動制御部は、前記変位量検出手段の検出出力と予め設定された設定値と比較し、設定値に達した時点で溶着こての昇降機構を制御し該溶着こてを上昇させる。
第3の目的は、カシメ作業による生産性を高めることができる熱カシメ方法及びその装置を提供することである。
1.溶着チップへの印加電圧を中途で停止することにより、あとは余熱で溶融を行う。このようにすると、溶融後半部分においては電圧の変動の影響を受けないことから、安定したカシメ強度を確保できる。
2.最終段階における溶着チップ及びボスの温度は残熱だけのため、冷却負担(急冷用エアーの消費)が従来例に比較して減少し、この分消費電力を抑えることができる。
3.冷却時の負荷が減少したことにより冷却時間の短縮化が可能となり、結果として生産性が高まる。
請求項1〜5に記載した本発明の実施例を次に説明する。
本実施例で用いる樹脂製ベース(樹脂基材)100は、図7に示すようにPP樹脂を用いて成形したもので、樹脂製ベース100へは、金属製の被固定物102をカシメ止めするための柱状の溶着ボス101が一体成形されている。溶着ボス101について説明すると、外形6mm、内径4mm、高さが9mmの中空ボスである。対する被固定物102は、板厚が1mmの金属製の板金で、これには溶着ボス101が貫通するための固定孔103が穿設されている。したがって、樹脂製ベース100に被固定物102を組み付けた際、溶着ボス101が被固定物102の表面から8mm突き出した状態になる。

実施例2における消費電力は550Wであった。
溶着チップ101の高さ変化を検知して制御しているため、電源電圧が高くなった場合でも、加熱時間が短くなり溶着チップが高温にさらされる危険性がない。460Nの強度を確認できた。
実施例4で行った樹脂製品を実施例2と同様にカシメ強度を測定した結果、420Nの強度を確認できた。
比較例1における消費電力は665Wであった。

Claims (5)
- a. 樹脂基材側に溶着ボスを突設し、この溶着ボスを被固定物側に形成した固定孔内に通して溶着ボスの先端を固定孔内から突出させ、この突出した溶着ボスの先端に溶着チップの溶融面を押し当てて溶着ボスの先端を溶融し、その後急冷することにより樹脂基材に被固定物をカシメ留めする方法において、
b. 前記溶着チップに対する電圧の印加を溶着チップが溶着ボスを溶融している中途で停止する、
c. 前記電圧の印加を停止した後も溶着チップの下降を継続してその余熱で溶着ボスを最終段階まで溶融する、
d. 前記溶融終了後に溶着チップの下降を停止し、併せて溶着チップ内に冷却エアーを吹き付けて溶着チップ及び溶融ボスの溶融部を急冷する、
e. 前記急冷により溶融部が固化した後溶着チップを溶着ボスから離反させて次の溶着工程に備える、
f. ことを特徴とする電熱式溶着チップを用いて行う熱カシメ方法。 - 前記電圧の印加を停止するタイミングは、溶着ボスが樹脂基材側の固定孔より突出している部分の残存被溶融樹脂量で決定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電熱式溶着チップを用いて行う熱カシメ方法。
- 前記被溶融樹脂量は、溶着ボスが被固定物より突出している残存高さとこの断面積から演算された値で決定することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の電熱式溶着チップを用いて行う熱カシメ方法。
- 前記溶着チップの下降停止タイミングと冷却エアの吹き出しのタイミングは、電圧の印加を停止した後溶着チップが被固定物に接触するまでの時間又は溶着ボスが被固定物から突出している最初の高さで決定することを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の電熱式溶着チップを用いて行う熱カシメ方法。
- a.樹脂基材側に溶着ボスを突設し、この溶着ボスを被固定物側に形成した固定孔内に通して溶着ボスの先端を固定孔内から突出させ、この突出した溶着ボスの先端に溶着チップの溶接面を押し当てて溶着ボスの先端を溶解し、その後急冷することにより樹脂基材に被固定物をカシメ留めする熱カシメ装置において、
b.前記溶着チップの溶着動作終了直前における溶着チップの位置を検出する位置センサーを設け、この位置センサーからの信号を受けて前記溶着チップに対する電圧の印加を停止する制御回路を設けたこと、
c.を特徴とする電熱式溶着チップを用いた熱カシメ装置。
