Abstract
【解決手段】燃料電池用改質器ユニットは、燃料ガス流路を内部に有すると共に燃料ガス流路の出口より余剰の燃料ガスを放出し、燃料電池セル集合体401を構成する複数の燃料電池セル4と、燃料電池セル集合体401の上部に配置され、被改質ガスを改質して燃料ガスとする改質器5と、改質器5の温度を検知する検知部と、検知部により改質器5が水蒸気改質可能な温度であると検知された際に、改質器5に被改質ガスと水蒸気だけを供給するよう制御する制御部と、を備える。複数の燃料電池セル4の上部に、改質器5によって改質された燃料ガスと酸化剤ガスとが混合して燃焼する燃焼部18が形成されている。改質器5は、燃料電池セル集合体401における複数の燃料電池セル4の配列方向の端部よりも内側に配置されている。

Description
改質器を燃料電池セル集合体における複数の燃料電池セルの配列方向の端部よりも内側に配置させる構成を容易に設計管理することができる。
量よりも多い量の燃料ガス及び空気を供給し、発電室16での燃焼を継続させる(燃焼工程)。なお、発電中は、改質効率の高い水蒸気改質反応SRで発電が進行せしめられる。水蒸気改質反応SR自体は(厳密に言えば)400℃〜800℃程度で行われるが、燃料電池との組み合わせにおいては500℃〜700℃程度で運転される。
Claims (4)
- 燃料ガス流路を内部に有すると共に前記燃料ガス流路の出口より残余の燃料ガスを放出し、燃料電池セル集合体を構成する複数の燃料電池セルと、
前記燃料電池セル集合体の上部に配置され、被改質ガスを改質して燃料ガスとする改質触媒を含む少なくとも一つの改質器と、を備える燃料電池用改質器ユニットであって、
前記改質器は、水蒸気改質可能な温度であると検知された場合に、被改質ガスと水蒸気のみが供給されるように構成されており、
前記複数の燃料電池セルの上部に、発電反応に寄与しなかった残余の燃料ガスと残余の酸化剤ガスとが混合して燃焼する燃焼部が形成され、
前記改質器における前記改質触媒は、前記燃料電池セル集合体における前記複数の燃料電池セルの配列方向の端部よりも内側に配置されていることを特徴とする燃料電池用改質器ユニット。 - 前記改質器にて改質される被改質ガスを前記改質器へ供給する被改質ガス供給管を更に備え、
前記被改質ガス供給管が、前記改質器の前記複数の燃料電池セル側への投影領域内に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の燃料電池用改質器ユニット。 - 前記燃料電池セル集合体では、前記複数の燃料電池セルが行列配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の燃料電池用改質器ユニット。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の燃料電池用改質器ユニットを備えた燃料電池モジュール。
