Abstract
【解決手段】 所定の形状に成形されて相手方金属又はセラミックと摺動する超高分子量ポリエチレンからなる人工関節用摺動用部材の成形方法において、超高分子量ポリエチレンにビタミンEを0.01〜0.3Wt%添加するとともに、成形前、成形中、成形後いずれかで80〜140℃の温度で少なくとも30分保持してビタミンEを超高分子量ポリエチレン中に均一に分散させる均一分散化処理を行う。

- 所定の形状に成形されて相手方金属又はセラミックと摺動する超高分子量ポリエチレンからなる人工関節用摺動用部材の成形方法において、超高分子量ポリエチレンにビタミンEを0.01〜0.3Wt%添加するとともに、成形前、成形中、成形後いずれかで80〜140℃の温度で少なくとも30分保持してビタミンEを超高分子量ポリエチレン中に均一に分散させる均一分散化処理を行うことを特徴とする人工関節用摺動用部材の成形方法。
- 成形及び均一分散化処理を一定の減圧下又は不活性ガス雰囲気内で行う請求項1の人工関節用摺動用部材の成形方法。
- 請求項1又は2いずれかの方法で成形された人工関節用摺動部材。
