- 約180℃の融点を有する請求項1または2に記載のポリマー。
- 交差偏光顕微鏡測定下で複屈折を示す請求項1から3のいずれかに記載のポリマー。
- 生体吸収性である請求項1から4のいずれかに記載のポリマー。
- 生分解性である請求項1から5のいずれかに記載のポリマー。
- 前記ジカルボン酸がテレフタル酸である請求項1から6のいずれかに記載のポリマー。
- 前記スルホニルジフェノールがビスフェノール-S、ジメチルビスフェノール-Sまたはテトラメチルビスフェノール-Sを含む請求項1から7のいずれかに記載のポリマー。
- 前記ビスフェノールがハロゲンを含む請求項8に記載のポリマー。
- 前記ビスフェノールがC2からC10の範囲内のアルキル基を含む請求項8に記載のポリマー。
- 前記ヒドロキシ安息香酸が1,4-ヒドロキシ安息香酸、バニリン酸またはシリンガ酸を含む請求項1から10のいずれかに記載のポリマー。
- 前記ジカルボン酸とスルホニルジフェノールの比率が実質的に1対1である請求項1から11のいずれかに記載のポリマー。
- 前記ヒドロキシ安息香酸がポリマーの25から85モルパーセントを含む請求項1から12のいずれかに記載のポリマー。
- 前記ヒドロキシ安息香酸がポリマーの50から75モルパーセントを含む請求項1から13のいずれかに記載のポリマー。
- 前記ヒドロキシ安息香酸がポリマーの62.5モルパーセントを含む請求項1から14のいずれかに記載のポリマー。
- ポリ[(4-ヒドロキシ安息香酸)50(4,4'-スルホニルビス(2-メチルフェノール))12.5(アジピン酸)12.5(バニリン酸)25]を含む請求項1から14のいずれかに記載のポリマー。
- ポリ[(4-ヒドロキシ安息香酸)60(バニリン酸)15(4,4'-スルホニルビス(2-メチルフェノール))12.5(セバシン酸)12.5]を含む請求項1から14のいずれかに記載のポリマー。
- ポリ[(4-ヒドロキシ安息香酸)47(バニリン酸)23(4,4'-スルホニルビス(2-メチルフェノール))15(セバシン酸)15]を含む請求項1から14のいずれかに記載のポリマー。
- ポリ[(4-ヒドロキシ安息香酸)50(4,4'-スルホニルビス(2-メチルフェノール))25(テレフタル酸)12.5(スベリン酸)12.5]を含む請求項1から14のいずれかに記載のポリマー。
- 繊維に加工されている請求項1から19のいずれかに記載のポリマー。
- 少なくとも150MPaの引張強度を有する請求項20に記載のポリマー繊維。

- 少なくとも100℃の温度でアニーリングをした請求項20から26のいずれかに記載のポリマー繊維。
- 請求項20から27のいずれかに記載のポリマー繊維およびポリマーマトリクスを含む複合用具。
- 前記繊維が実質的に一方向に配向している請求項28に記載の複合用具。
- 前記ポリマーマトリクスがポリ(ε-カプロラクトン)である請求項28または29に記載の複合用具。
- 非晶質ガラスである請求項1に記載のポリマー。
- 最初に第1の形状を有する物品に成形し、次に可塑的に変形させて第2の形状を有する物品とし、ポリマーのガラス転移温度未満の温度に冷却するポリマーであって、第2の形状を有する物品をポリマーのガラス転移温度より高い温度に加熱することにより、第1の形状を回復し得る請求項31に記載のポリマー。
- ポリ[(4-ヒドロキシ安息香酸)50(テレフタル酸)12.5(4,4'-スルホニルビス(2-メチルフェノール))25(ドデカン酸)12.5]を含む請求項32に記載のポリマー。
- 請求項1から33のいずれかに記載のポリマーを含む整形外科的修復用用具。
- 縫合糸またはケーブルである請求項34に記載の用具。

- ロッドである請求項34に記載の用具。
- 射出成形で成形した請求項34に記載の用具。
- 少なくとも4GPaの弾性率を有する請求項38に記載の用具。
- ポリマーの製造方法であって、スルホニルジフェノール、ヒドロキシ安息香酸およびジカルボン酸を溶媒中で混合する段階、混合物を約80℃に加熱する段階、ビルスマイヤー試薬を添加する段階、得られたポリマーを溶液から沈澱させる段階を含む方法。
