Description
[0001] 米国特許法119条の規定により、「CARBONACEOUS MATERIALS USEFUL FOR FLUID STORAGE/DISPENSING, DESULFURIZATION, AND INFRARED RADIATION EMISSION, AND APPARATUS AND METHODS UTILIZING SAME」に対するFrank Dimeo Jr.他の2006年1月30日付けの米国仮特許出願第60/763,258号の優先権を主張する。上記米国仮特許出願の開示の全文を、すべての目的のために参照により本明細書に組み込むものとする。
Claims (69)
- ナノ多孔質炭素複合体であって、該複合体に、硬度、耐磨耗性、及び靱性からなる群から選択される特性について、ナノ多孔質炭素単独と比較して強化された特性を与える材料で少なくとも一部が充填される細孔を有するナノ多孔質炭素を含むナノ多孔質炭素複合体。
- 前記強化された特性が、衝撃靱性を含む、請求項1に記載のナノ多孔質炭素複合体。
- 前記細孔が、10ナノメートル未満の平均細孔直径を有する、請求項1に記載のナノ多孔質炭素複合体。
- 前記材料が、高分子材料を含む、請求項1に記載のナノ多孔質炭素複合体。
- 前記高分子材料が、粘弾性材料を含む、請求項1に記載のナノ多孔質炭素複合体。
- 前記粘弾性材料が、シリコーン類及びポリエチレン・グリコール類からなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載のナノ多孔質炭素複合体。
- 前記ナノ多孔質炭素が、全細孔の少なくとも30%が約0.3〜約0.72ナノメートルの範囲のサイズを有するスリット形状の細孔により構成され、全細孔の少なくとも20%が2ナノメーター未満の直径を有する細孔を含み、立方センチメートル当たり約0.80〜約2.0グラムのかさ密度を有するPVDC炭化材を含む、請求項1に記載のナノ多孔質炭素複合体。
- 前記材料が、高分子繊維を含む、請求項1に記載のナノ多孔質炭素複合体。
- 前記高分子繊維が、アラミド繊維を含む、請求項8に記載のナノ多孔質炭素複合体。
- 前記強化された特性が、破壊靱性を含む、請求項1に記載のナノ多孔質炭素複合体。
- 前記材料が、前記細孔内でその場(in situ)形成された反応生成物である、請求項1に記載のナノ多孔質炭素複合体。
- 前記材料が、炭化物材料を含む、請求項1に記載のナノ多孔質炭素複合体。
- 前記炭化物材料が、炭化タングステンを含む、請求項12に記載のナノ多孔質炭素複合体。

- 前記複合体が、所定の成形又は機械加工された形状を有する、請求項1に記載のナノ多孔質炭素複合体。
- 前記材料が、イオン注入された材料を含む、請求項1に記載のナノ多孔質炭素複合体。
- 前記イオン注入された材料が、水素と可逆的に相互作用する材料を含む、請求項18に記載のナノ多孔質炭素複合体。
- 前記イオン注入された材料が、ホウ素を含む、請求項18に記載のナノ多孔質炭素複合体。
- 請求項20に記載のナノ多孔質炭素複合体を含む水素貯蔵システム。
- 請求項20に記載のナノ多孔質炭素複合体を含む水素燃料エネルギー発生システム。

- 前記塩素ガスが、大気圧以下で保持される、請求項30に記載の塩素ガス貯蔵システム。
- 塩素ガスの分配に適合した、請求項24に記載の塩素ガス貯蔵システム。
- 前記分配が、熱を媒介とする脱着、圧力勾配を媒介とする脱着、及び濃度勾配を媒介とする脱着からなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの分配様式を含む、請求項32に記載の塩素ガス貯蔵システム。
- 前記分配中に前記多孔質炭素からの脱着を生じさせる真空ポンプをさらに含む、請求項32に記載の塩素ガス貯蔵システム。
- 複合体を製造するための方法であって、該複合体に、硬度、耐磨耗性、及び靱性からなる群選択される特性について、多孔質炭素単独と比較して強化された特性を与える材料でナノ多孔質炭素の細孔の少なくとも一部を充填する工程を含む方法。
- 前記強化された性質が、衝撃靱性を含む、請求項35に記載の方法。
- 前記多数の細孔が、10ナノメートルの未満の平均細孔直径を有する、請求項35に記載の方法。
- 前記材料が、高分子材料を含む、請求項35に記載の方法。
