前記第1の信号、前記遅延された第2の信号、および周期的光信号を受け取る第1の非線形要素と、
前記第2の信号、前記遅延された第1の信号、および前記周期的光信号を受け取る第2の非線形要素と、
前記第1の非線形要素の出力信号と、前記第1の非線形要素の前記出力信号に対して位相偏移される、前記第2の非線形要素の出力信号とを組み合わせるコンバイナと、を備え、それによってシステム出力信号が生成される、全光式システム。 - 前記第2の非線形要素の前記出力を前記第1の非線形要素の前記出力に対して位相偏移するために、前記第2の非線形要素の前記出力に結合された移相器を備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記周期的光信号は持続波信号を含む、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1および第2の非線形要素の少なくとも一方は、半導体光増幅器を備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1および第2の信号はオン・オフ変調(OOK)信号であり、前記システム出力信号は位相偏移変調(PSK)信号である、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 遅延線路干渉計を備え、前記遅延線路干渉計は、前記第1および第2の信号を差動PSK(DPSK)入力信号から生成する、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記システム出力信号の現データ・コンテンツは、前記DPSK入力信号の現データ・コンテンツと、前記DPSK入力信号の先行データ・コンテンツとの排他的論理和と均等である、請求項6に記載のシステム。
- 遅延された第1の信号を生成するために第1の信号を遅延するステップと、
遅延された第2の信号を生成するために第2の信号を遅延するステップであって、前記第1の信号が第1の状態にあるときに前記第2の信号が第2の状態にあり、前記第1の信号が前記第2の状態にあるときに前記第2の信号が前記第1の状態にあるように、前記第2の信号は前記第1の信号の逆元である、第2の信号を遅延するステップと、
第1の変調された信号を生成するために、前記第1の信号が前記第1の状態にあるときに前記第1の信号で、前記第1の信号が前記第2の状態にあるときに前記遅延された第2の信号で、周期的光信号波を変調するステップと、
第2の変調された信号を生成するために、前記第1の信号が前記第2の状態にあるときに前記第2の信号で、前記第1の信号が前記第1の状態にあるときに前記遅延された第1の信号で、前記周期的光信号を変調するステップと、
前記第2の変調された信号を前記第1の変調された信号に対して位相偏移するステップと、
出力信号を生成するために、前記第1および第2の変調された信号を組み合わせるステップと、
を含む全光式信号処理方法。 - 前記第1および第2の信号はオン・オフ変調(OOK)信号であり、前記出力信号は位相偏移変調(PSK)信号である、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記第1および第2の信号を差動PSK(DPSK)入力信号から生成するステップを含む、請求項8に記載の方法。
