Abstract

Claims (3)
- 液晶ディスプレイ(100)であって、
画像を形成するように構成された画素を含む液晶表示パネル(110)と、
前記液晶表示パネル(110)に近接し、前記液晶表示パネル(110)の画素を照らすように構成されたバックライトシステム(120)とを具備し、前記バックライトシステムは、
液晶表示パネル(110)と概して平行な平面部(132)と、前記平面部(132)から概して垂直に延在する第1の側部(134)とを含む光導波路(130)と、
前記第1の側部(134)を介して前記光導波路(130)へ光を放射するように構成された光源(160)と、
前記光源(160)に結合され、動作中に前記光源(160)によって生じた熱を除去するように構成されたヒートシンク(180)とを含む、液晶ディスプレイ(100)。 - 平面部(132)と、前記平面部(132)から概して垂直に延在する第1の側部(134)とを含む光導波路(130)と、
前記第1の側部(134)を介して前記光導波路(130)へ光を放射するように構成された光源(160)と、
前記光源(160)に結合され、前記光源(160)によって生じた熱を除去するように構成されたヒートシンク(180)とを含む バックライトシステム(120)。 - 液晶ディスプレイ(100)であって、
画像を形成するように構成された画素を含む液晶表示パネル(110)と、
前記液晶表示パネル(110)に近接し、前記液晶表示パネル(110)の画素を照らすように構成されたバックライトシステム(120)とを具備し、前記バックライトシステム(120)は、
前記液晶表示パネル(110)と概して平行で、少なくとも4つの側面を備えた周囲を有する平面部(132)、
前記平面部(132)の前記少なくとも4つの側面の少なくとも2つに結合された折り曲げ部(136)、及び
前記折り曲げ部(136)の各々に結合され、前記平面部(132)から実質的に垂直に延在する側部(134)であって、前記側部(134)及び前記平面部(132)がキャビティ(142)を形成する、側部(134)
を含む光導波路(130)と、
前記側部(134)を介して前記光導波路(130)へ光を放射するように構成された光源(160)と、
前記光源(160)に結合され、動作中に前記光源(160)によって生じた熱を除去するように構成されたヒートシンク(180)とを含み、前記液晶ディスプレイ(100)はさらに、
前記キャビティ(142)内に配置され、前記液晶表示パネル(110)及び前記光源(160)を駆動するように構成された回路(190)
を具備する、液晶ディスプレイ(100)。
