Abstract

Description
図1は、本発明の一実施形態における身体防護衣服の切取図である。身体防護具10は使用者の胴を覆い、高速発射体から生命に重要な部分を防護するように設計されている。うろこ状パターンで適切に配置したディスクによって、身体防護具10全体は可とう性に保たれて、また高速発射体に対するすぐれた防護を提供する。従来の技術による10×12剛性プレートとは異なって、うろこ状パターンは身体外形の周りにたわむことができ、したがって著しく快適であり、かつ容易に隠すことができる。うろこ状パターン12は一般的に、アラミド繊維またはポリエチレン繊維などの引張り強度の高い繊維でできた2層の織物14の間に挟まれている。織物14は引裂きおよび切断に耐えることが必要で、分裂を減少するように設計された弾道級の材料であることが好ましい。この織物14には接着剤を含浸させることができるので、織物の接着剤はうろこ状パターン12を構成するディスクに接着して、これらの相対位置を維持する。織物14の1つまたは複数の追加層をサンドウィッチ状の物に加えることもできる。これについて下に検討する。

Claims (6)
- 高速発射体に打ち勝つための身体防護具を作るための方法であって、
傾斜した表面を有する複数のセラミック・ディスクを準備すること、
複数のディスクを配置表面上にうろこ状パターンに配置すること、および
うろこ状パターンの第1側に高引張り強度の接着基面を接着すること
を含む方法。 - 配置することが、
複数ディスクのサブセットを、第1水平方向からほぼ直線の水平行に置くこと
、および
第1方向からる次の重なるほぼ直線の水平行を置くこと
を含む請求項1に記載の方法。 - うろこ状パターンが、
各ディスクが配置表面によって画定される水平平面から傾くように、各ディスクを次のディスクの上に重ね合わせること
を含む請求項1に記載の方法。 - ディスクの表面を封じ込め包装材料によって包囲するステップをさらに含む請求項1に記載の方法。
