Abstract
【構成】ピストン本体1を構成するクラウン部2とスカート部3を個別に形成する。その両者2,3を接合して一体化する前に、クラウン部2の底部には環状空洞部6と成すための環状溝61と該環状溝の開口縁に連なる環状の凸条62とを形成しておく。そして、その凸条62を加圧して環状溝61の開口部61A側に屈曲せしめる。これにより、環状溝61の開口部61Aを閉鎖して環状空洞部6を形成した後、当該クラウン部2とスカート部3とを接合一体化してピストン本体1を得る。

Description
外周面にピストンリングを嵌め込むための溝部を有するクラウン部と、該クラウン部の底部に連なるスカート部とから成るピストン本体に、前記溝部の内側にて冷却液を流通させるための環状空洞部が設けられる構造の内燃機関用ピストンを製造する方法であって、
前記クラウン部とスカート部を個別に形成し、その両者を接合して一体化する前に前記クラウン部の底部に前記環状空洞部と成すための環状溝と該環状溝の開口縁に連なる環状の凸条とを形成しておき、その凸条を加圧して前記環状溝の開口部側に屈曲せしめ、これにより前記環状溝の開口部を閉鎖して前記環状空洞部を形成した後、当該クラウン部と前記スカート部とを接合一体化することを特徴とする。
前記クラウン部とスカート部を個別に形成し、その両者を接合して一体化する前に前記クラウン部の底部に前記環状空洞部と成すための環状溝と該環状溝の外側開口縁に連なる環状の凸条とを形成しておき、当該クラウン部と前記スカート部とを接合一体化した後、前記凸条を内側に加圧してその先端を前記スカート部の上部外周に押し付けることにより前記環状空洞部を形成することを特徴とする。

Claims (3)
- 外周面にピストンリングを嵌め込むための溝部を有するクラウン部と、該クラウン部の底部に連なるスカート部とから成るピストン本体に、前記溝部の内側にて冷却液を流通させるための環状空洞部が設けられる構造の内燃機関用ピストンを製造する方法であって、
前記クラウン部とスカート部を個別に形成し、その両者を接合して一体化する前に前記クラウン部の底部に前記環状空洞部と成すための環状溝と該環状溝の開口縁に連なる環状の凸条とを形成しておき、その凸条を加圧して前記環状溝の開口部側に屈曲せしめ、これにより前記環状溝の開口部を閉鎖して前記環状空洞部を形成した後、当該クラウン部と前記スカート部とを接合一体化することを特徴とする内燃機関用ピストンの製造方法。 - 前記凸条に曲げ荷重を与えるための加圧ローラを押し付けて当該凸条を前記環状溝の開口部側に屈曲せしめることを特徴とする請求項1記載の内燃機関用ピストンの製造方法。
- 外周面にピストンリングを嵌め込むための溝部を有するクラウン部と、該クラウン部の底部に連なるスカート部とから成るピストン本体に、前記溝部の内側にて冷却液を流通させるための環状空洞部が設けられる構造の内燃機関用ピストンを製造する方法であって、
前記クラウン部とスカート部を個別に形成し、その両者を接合して一体化する前に前記クラウン部の底部に前記環状空洞部と成すための環状溝と該環状溝の外側開口縁に連なる環状の凸条とを形成しておき、当該クラウン部と前記スカート部とを接合一体化した後、前記凸条を内側に加圧してその先端を前記スカート部の上部外周に押し付けることにより前記環状空洞部を形成することを特徴とする内燃機関用ピストンの製造方法。
