Description
前記クラウン部の頂面周縁部若しくは該クラウン部の外周面上部に前記環状空洞部と成すための環状溝を形成すると共に、前記環状溝の開口縁に連ねて環状の突条を形成し、更に前記環状溝の内壁部に前記突条に対向する段部を形成しておき、
前記ピストン本体を回転させながら、前記突条に曲げ荷重を与えるための加圧ローラを押し付けて前記突条を前記環状溝の開口部側に屈曲せしめて該突条の先端部を前記段部に密着させ、これにより前記環状溝の開口部を閉鎖して前記受圧用凹部の周囲に冷却液を流通させるための環状空洞部を形成することを特徴とする。

Claims (1)
- 外周面にピストンリングを嵌め込むための溝部を形成するクラウン部と、該クラウン部の下部に連なるスカート部とから成る一体形のピストン本体における前記クラウン部の頂面に燃焼室を形成する受圧用凹部が設けられると共に、その受圧用凹部の周囲に冷却液を流通させるための環状空洞部が設けられる構造の内燃機関用ピストンを製造する方法であり、
前記クラウン部の頂面周縁部若しくは該クラウン部の外周面上部に前記環状空洞部と成すための環状溝を形成すると共に、前記環状溝の開口縁に連ねて環状の突条を形成し、更に前記環状溝の内壁部に前記突条に対向する段部を形成しておき、
前記ピストン本体を回転させながら、前記突条に曲げ荷重を与えるための加圧ローラを押し付けて前記突条を前記環状溝の開口部側に屈曲せしめて該突条の先端部を前記段部に密着させ、これにより前記環状溝の開口部を閉鎖して前記受圧用凹部の周囲に冷却液を流通させるための環状空洞部を形成することを特徴とする内燃機関用ピストンの製造方法。
