Abstract
【解決手段】排気管4の途中に選択還元型触媒5を設け且つ該選択還元型触媒5より上流側の排気管4内に還元剤として尿素水6を添加してNOxを還元浄化する排気浄化装置に関し、尿素水6の添加位置より上流側の排気管4に選択還元型触媒5の活性下限温度よりも低い温度で排気ガス3中のNOxを物理的に吸着し且つその吸着NOxを自身の活性下限温度より高い温度で放出する性質を備えた酸化触媒9を設け、該酸化触媒9より上流側で排気ガス3中に燃料を添加する燃料添加手段(燃料噴射装置14)を設け、選択還元型触媒5入側の排気温度が酸化触媒9の活性下限温度と同程度の設定温度に上昇するまで燃料添加の開始を保留し得るように構成する。

Claims (2)
- 排気管の途中に酸素共存下でも選択的にNOxをアンモニアと反応させ得る選択還元型触媒を設け且つ該選択還元型触媒より上流側の排気管内に還元剤として尿素水を添加してNOxを還元浄化するようにした排気浄化装置であって、尿素水の添加位置より上流側の排気管に選択還元型触媒の活性下限温度よりも低い温度で排気ガス中のNOxを物理的に吸着し且つその吸着NOxを自身の活性下限温度より高い温度で放出する性質を備えた酸化触媒を設けると共に、該酸化触媒より上流側で排気ガス中に燃料を添加する燃料添加手段を設け、前記選択還元型触媒入側の排気温度が前記酸化触媒の活性下限温度と同程度の設定温度に上昇するまで前記燃料添加手段による燃料添加の開始を保留し得るように構成したことを特徴とする排気浄化装置。
- エンジンの各気筒に燃料を噴射する燃料噴射装置を燃料添加手段として採用し、気筒内への燃料噴射を制御して排気ガス中に未燃燃料分を多く残すことで燃料添加を実行するように構成したことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の排気浄化装置。
