Abstract

Description
(B)この(A)と接する少なくとも1層の架橋可能なポリマー層、を含み、(A)と(B)とが互いに非相溶性であり、且つ(A)と(B)とが相互架橋によって互いに固着される、相互架橋型の多層高分子物品について開示する。
(A)少なくとも1層の熱可塑性ポリマー層、及び
(B)この(A)と接する少なくとも1層の架橋可能な熱可塑性ポリマー層、を含み、(A)と(B)とが互いに非相溶性である、相互架橋型の多層高分子物品の調製方法を対象とする。ここでこの方法は、
(A)及び(B)の両方の融点を超える温度、且つ0.1〜80MPaの圧力で、(A)と(B)を互いに直接に接する状態に配置して、多層物品を形成すること、及び
(A)と(B)との間の接触を保ちながらこの多層物品を架橋させて、相互架橋型の多層高分子物品を形成すること、を含む。
熱可塑性ポリマー層は、ポリオレフィン類、ポリアミド類、ポリエステル類、又はフルオロポリマー樹脂類を含めた熱可塑性樹脂から調製される。フルオロポリマー樹脂が好ましい。一般に熱可塑性樹脂は、熱を加えたとき化学的に反応せず、融解及び流動し、フィルム又はシートの形態に押し出すことができる。成分(A)として有用性を有する熱可塑性フルオロポリマーには、エチレンとプロピレンのフッ素化コポリマー(FEP)、テトラフルオロエチレンとペルフルオロプロピルビニルエーテルのフッ素化コポリマー(PFA)、エチレンとテトラフルオロエチレンのコポリマー(ETFE)、エチレンとクロロトリフルオロエチレンのコポリマー(ECTFE)、ポリクロロトリフルオロエチレンポリマー(PCTFE)、ポリビニリジンフルオロポリマー(PVDF)、テトラフルオロエチレンとヘキサフルオロプロピレンとフッ化ビニリデンのセグメントを含有するターポリマー(THV)、それらのブレンド且つアロイ、又はそれらのブレンド若しくはアロイが含まれる。好ましいフルオロポリマーはFEPである。THV樹脂は、Dyneon 3M Corporation(ミネソタ州、ミナアポリス)から入手できる。ECTFEポリマーは、Ausimont Corporation (イタリア)から、商品名Halarで入手できる。本明細書中で用いられる他のフルオロポリマーは、ダイキン(日本)、DuPont (USA)、及びHoechst (ドイツ)から得ることができる。
ポリオレフィン類は、ホモポリマー、コポリマー、ターポリマー、又はそれらの混合物のいずれとしても、本発明用の架橋可能な熱可塑性ポリマー層(B)としての有用性を有する。本発明用のポリオレフィンの種類は、高密度ポリエチレン(PE)、中密度PE、低密度PE、超低密度PE、エチレンプロピレンコポリマー、エチレン−ブテン-1コポリマー、ポリプロピレン(PP)、ポリブテン-1、ポリペンテン-1、ポリ-4-メチルペンテン-1、ポリスチレン、エチレン−プロピレンゴム(EPR)、エチレン−プロピレン−ジエンポリマー(EPDM)などである。本発明用の好ましいポリオレフィンの種類はEPDMである。
Claims (25)
- (A)少なくとも1層の熱可塑性ポリマー層と、
(B)前記(A)と接する少なくとも1層の架橋可能な熱可塑性ポリマー層と、
を含み、前記(A)と(B)とが互いに非相溶性であり、且つ前記(A)と(B)とが相互架橋により互いに固着する、相互架橋型多層高分子物品。 - 前記熱可塑性ポリマー層(A)がフルオロポリマーである、請求項1に記載の物品。
- 前記熱可塑性ポリマー層(A)が架橋可能なポリマー又は架橋可能なフルオロポリマーである、請求項1に記載の物品。
- 前記熱可塑性フルオロポリマー(A)が、FEP、PFA、ETFE、ECTFE、PCTFE、PVDF、THV、それらのブレンド且つアロイ、又はそれらのブレンド若しくはアロイを含む、請求項2に記載の物品。
- 前記熱可塑性フルオロポリマー(A)がFEPである、請求項4に記載の物品。
- 前記架橋可能なポリマー(B)がポリオレフィンである、請求項1に記載の物品。
- 前記架橋可能なポリマー(B)がEPDMである、請求項1に記載の物品。
- 前記多層物品が共押出、共積層、又は押出−積層によって形成されている、請求項1に記載の物品。
- 前記多層物品が共成形によって形成されている、請求項1に記載の物品。
- 前記共成形が、射出成形、共射出成形、多材料成形、マルチショット成形、トランスファー成形、圧縮成形、又はブロー成形を含む、請求項9に記載の物品。
- 前記共押出によりフィルム又はシートが提供される、請求項8に記載の物品。
- 前記共押出により細管又は異形材が提供される、請求項8に記載の物品。
- 前記共成形により容器が提供される、請求項9に記載の物品。

(A)と(B)との間の接触を保ちながら前記多層物品を架橋させて、相互架橋型多層高分子物品を形成すること、
を含む、相互架橋型多層高分子物品を調製する方法。 - 前記温度が400℃以下である、請求項23に記載の方法。
