Abstract
【解決手段】Agを主成分とする反射層3と、第2誘電体層5b(硫化物系誘電体層)と、記録層6とが、基材2の表面にこの順に形成されると共に、記録層6に基材2とは逆側からレーザービームLを照射することによって記録データの記録(記録部M)および再生が可能に構成され、反射層3と第2誘電体層5bとの間に、Znの酸化物(例えばZnO)を主成分としたバリア層4が形成されている。

Description
上記した製造方法に基づき、図1に示す構成であって、バリア層4にZnOが図2に示す量だけ含まれる実施例1〜4としての情報媒体のサンプルを作製した。
上記した製造方法において、バリア層4を形成することなく、反射層3の表面に第2誘電体層5bを直接形成することにより、比較例1としての情報媒体のサンプルを作製した。
上記した製造方法において、ZnOを主成分とする化学種に代えて、Cr2O3で構成された化学種を用いてバリア層4を形成することにより、比較例2としての情報媒体のサンプルを作製した。
上記した製造方法において、ZnOを主成分とする化学種に代えて、ZrO2で構成された化学種を用いてバリア層4を形成することにより、比較例3としての情報媒体のサンプルを作製した。
各情報媒体のサンプルを、70℃90%RHの高温高湿環境下において450時間の条件で、保存環境試験を行い、反射層3に発生する腐食を光学顕微鏡で観察した。この観察結果をバリア層の種類および配合比と共に図2の観察結果図に示す。この観察結果から、バリア層がない比較例1や、バリア層が存在してもCr2O3やZrO2で構成されている比較例2,3では、反射層3に腐食が確認された。一方、ZnOを主成分として80mol%以上含むバリア層を備えた各実施例2〜4では、反射層3の腐食は確認されなかった。なお、ZnOを主成分として25mol%含むバリア層を備えた実施例1では、極めて微量の腐食が確認されたが、実用上問題がないため、良品であると判断した。

Claims (2)
- Agを主成分とする反射層と、硫化物系誘電体層と、記録層とが、基材の表面にこの順に形成されると共に、当該記録層に前記基材とは逆側からレーザービームを照射することによって記録データの記録および再生が可能に構成され、
前記反射層と前記硫化物系誘電体層との間に、Znの酸化物を主成分としたバリア層が形成されている情報媒体。 - 前記バリア層は前記反射層に接して形成されている請求項1記載の情報媒体。
