Abstract
【解決手段】新規な改良再充電可能リチウムイオン電池システム(10)は、電解液を含む有孔セパレータ(18a,18b,...18n)を介装し正負電極(14a、14b,...14n)(16a、16b,...16n)を対向対面配置した複数個の別個電気化学セル(12a、12b,...12n)より構成され、隣接セルの正負電極は、単一双極構造を形成する共通集電要素(20a、20b,...20n)の両側とそれぞれ接触して配置される。負電極は集電要素の片側に付着されたカーボン層(24)を備え、正電極は該要素の他側に付着されたリチウム遷移金属または硫化化合物(26)を含む層を備える。隣接セルの正負電極を含む単一双極構造体は、密封積層配列で一体に接合される、好ましくはプラスチック絶縁リング(28a、28b,...28n)状の、外周電気絶縁密封部材を含む。

Claims (1)
- 正及び負電極を対向対面配置した複数個の個別電気化学セルを備え、非水溶有機溶剤に溶解されたリチウム塩より成る電解液を含む有孔セパレータが前記電気化学セルの間に介装された、双極再充電可能リチウムイオン電池であって、
隣接セルの前記正電極及び前記負電極は、単一双極構造を形成する共通集電要素の両側とそれぞれ電気接続して配置され、前記共通集電要素は片側の銅および他側のアルミニュウムより構成されるバイメタル部材を有し、カーボンの前記負電極は前記共通集電要素の銅側に隣接し接触して配置され、遷移金属酸化物の前記正電極は前記共通集電要素のアルミニュウム側に隣接し接触して配置され、外側絶縁リングが前記共通集電要素の外周を取り巻くように接着され、隣接するセルの前記外側絶縁リングは、接着され一体に接合されて、封止された双極セルスタックを構成する、
