【解決手段】 触媒16と、触媒16の下流側に設けられ、酸化雰囲気下でNOxを捕捉し、還元雰囲気下でNOxを還元・浄化するNOx触媒17と、NOx触媒17にNOx還元動作を行わせるために、触媒の上流側に還元剤を供給するNOx還元制御手段6、12、2と、触媒の酸素吸藏量S_QO2STを算出する酸素吸藏量算出手段2と、還元制御の実行中に、酸素吸藏量に応じて、触媒で酸化・消費された還元剤消費量QDACO_TWCを算出する還元剤消費量算出手段2と、この還元剤消費量に応じ、NOx触媒17の還元剤供給量S_QDALを算出する還元剤供給量算出手段2と、この還元剤供給量に基づいて還元制御を終了する還元制御終了手段2と、を備える。

Claims (3)
- 内燃機関から排気系に排出された排ガスを浄化する内燃機関の排ガス浄化装置であって、
前記排気系に設けられ、排ガスを浄化するための酸素吸藏機能および酸化機能を有する触媒と、
前記排気系の前記触媒よりも下流側に設けられ、酸化雰囲気下で排ガス中のNOxを捕捉するとともに、還元雰囲気下で、当該捕捉したNOxを還元することによって浄化するNOx触媒と、
前記NOx触媒にNOxの還元動作を行わせるために、前記触媒の上流側に還元剤を供給することにより、前記NOx触媒に流入する排ガスを還元雰囲気に制御する還元制御を実行するNOx還元制御手段と、
前記触媒に吸藏されている酸素量を酸素吸藏量として算出する酸素吸藏量算出手段と、
前記NOx還元制御手段による還元制御の実行中に、前記算出された酸素吸藏量に応じ、前記触媒における酸化によって消費された還元剤量を還元剤消費量として算出する還元剤消費量算出手段と、
当該算出された還元剤消費量に応じて、前記NOx触媒に供給された還元剤量を還元剤供給量として算出する還元剤供給量算出手段と、
当該算出された還元剤供給量がしきい値を超えたときに、前記還元制御を終了する還元制御終了手段と、
を備えることを特徴とする内燃機関の排ガス浄化装置。 - 前記触媒の温度を検出する触媒温度検出手段をさらに備え、
前記酸素吸藏量算出手段は、当該検出された触媒の温度に応じて、前記酸素吸藏量を算出することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排ガス浄化装置。 - 前記触媒の上流側の空燃比を検出する上流側空燃比推定手段と、
前記触媒の下流側の空燃比を検出する下流側空燃比検出手段と、をさらに備え、
前記酸素吸藏量算出手段は、当該検出された上流側空燃比と下流側空燃比との偏差に応じて、前記酸素吸藏量を算出することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排ガス浄化装置。
