Abstract
【解決手段】上記粒状金属鉄を製造するには、酸化鉄含有物質と炭素質還元剤を含む原料混合物を、移動炉床式加熱還元炉の炉床上に装入して加熱し、原料混合物中の酸化鉄を炭素質還元剤により還元し、生成する金属鉄を溶融し、溶融した金属鉄を副生するスラグと分離しつつ粒状に凝集させた後、冷却凝固させて粒状金属鉄を製造する方法において、炉内における雰囲気ガスの流速を制御すればよい。

Claims (9)
- 酸化鉄含有物質と炭素質還元剤を含む原料混合物を、移動炉床式加熱還元炉の炉床上に装入して加熱し、原料混合物中の酸化鉄を炭素質還元剤により還元し、生成する金属鉄を溶融し、溶融した金属鉄を副生するスラグと分離しつつ粒状に凝集させた後、冷却凝固させて粒状金属鉄を製造する方法において、炉内における雰囲気ガスの流速を制御することを特徴とする粒状金属鉄の製造方法。
- 炉内における雰囲気ガスの平均ガス流速を5m/秒以下に制御する請求項1に記載の製造方法。
- 前記流速の制御を、少なくとも還元末期から金属鉄の溶融が完了するまでの間で行なう請求項1または2に記載の製造方法。
- 前記加熱還元炉の加熱にバーナーを使用し、該バーナーの少なくとも一部に酸素バーナーを用いることによって前記流速を制御する請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の製造方法。
- 酸化鉄含有物質と炭素質還元剤を含む原料混合物を、移動炉床式加熱還元炉の炉床上に装入して加熱し、原料混合物中の酸化鉄を炭素質還元剤により還元し、生成する金属鉄を溶融し、溶融した金属鉄を副生するスラグと分離しつつ粒状に凝集させた後、冷却凝固させて粒状金属鉄を製造するための装置において、
炉内における雰囲気ガスの流速を制御するための手段を備えていることを特徴とする粒状金属鉄の製造装置。 - 前記加熱還元炉内を加熱するためのバーナーの一部が、流速制御手段として備えられた酸素バーナーである請求項5に記載の製造装置。
- 前記酸素バーナーは、前記加熱還元炉における少なくとも還元末期から溶融完了までの領域に備えられている請求項6に記載の製造装置。
- 前記酸素バーナーは、炉床表面から1m以上離れた位置に備えられている請求項6または7に記載の製造装置。
- 流速制御手段として、前記加熱還元炉の少なくとも還元末期から溶融完了までの領域における天井の高さが、該加熱還元炉の他の領域における天井の高さよりも相対的に高く設計されている請求項5〜8のいずれかに記載の製造装置。
