Abstract
【解決手段】液晶表示装置は、赤外線光を発生する赤外線光源と、前記赤外線光を可視光に変換するための赤外線−可視光変換層と、前記可視光を感知するための光感知用薄膜トランジスタとを有する液晶パネルが設けられている。

Claims (11)
- 赤外線光を発生する赤外線光源と、
前記赤外線光を可視光に変換するための赤外線−可視光変換層と、
前記可視光を感知するための光センサーとを有する液晶パネル
を備えることを特徴とするマルチタッチ感知機能を有する液晶表示装置。 - 前記液晶パネルの下に配置され、前記液晶パネルに光を照射するバックライトユニットを更に備える
請求項1記載のマルチタッチ感知機能を有する液晶表示装置。 - 前記液晶パネルは、
前記赤外線光源から前記赤外線光が入射される、前記赤外線−可視光変換層を含む第1透明基板と、
前記光センサーを含む第2透明基板と、
前記第1透明基板及び前記第2透明基板の間に形成された液晶層とを有する
請求項1記載のマルチタッチ感知機能を有する液晶表示装置。 - 前記第2透明基板は、
データ電圧が供給される複数のデータラインと、
前記データラインと交差するように配置され、スキャンパルスが順次供給される複数のゲートラインと、
前記データラインに平行に配置され、前記第1透明基板から反射された可視光に対応する可視光感知信号を出力する複数のリードアウトラインと、
前記データライン、前記ゲートライン及び前記リードアウトラインによって定義された画素領域に形成された画素電極と、
前記データライン及び前記ゲートラインの交差部に形成され、前記スキャンパルスに応じて前記データ電圧を前記画素電極に供給するための複数の第1薄膜トランジスタと、
前記ゲートラインに平行に配置され、前記光センサーに高電位の第1駆動電圧を供給するための複数の第1駆動電圧供給ラインと、
前記ゲートライン及び前記第1駆動電圧ラインに平行に配置され、前記赤外線センサーに低電位の第2駆動電圧を供給するための複数の第2駆動電圧供給ラインと、
前記光センサーからの電荷を充電する第1ストレージキャパシタと、
前記画素電極及び前記ゲートラインの間に形成され、前記画素電極の電圧を保持させるための第2ストレージキャパシタと、
前記ゲートライン及び前記リードアウトラインの交差部に形成され、前記第1ストレージキャパシタに接続され、前記スキャンパルスに応じて第1ストレージキャパシタの電荷を前記リードアウトラインに供給する複数の第2薄膜トランジスタとを含む
請求項3記載のマルチタッチ感知機能を有する液晶表示装置。 - 前記光センサーは、前記第1及び第2駆動電圧によって駆動され、前記可視光によってソース−ドレイン間にチャンネル電流が流れる薄膜トランジスタである
請求項4記載のマルチタッチ感知機能を有する液晶表示装置。 - 前記光センサーは、
前記第2駆動電圧供給ラインと一体に形成されるゲート電極と、
絶縁膜を介して前記ゲート電極に重畳される半導体層と、
前記半導体層上で前記第1駆動電圧供給ラインに接続されたソース電極と、
前記半導体層上で前記ソース電極と対向するドレイン電極とを含む
請求項5記載のマルチタッチ感知機能を有する液晶表示装置。 - 前記第1透明基板は、
前記赤外線−可視光変換層と同一層に形成される、赤、緑及び青色のカラーフィルターと、
前記画素領域間の境界、並びに前記第1及び第2薄膜トランジスタに対応する領域に形成され、前記第1及び第2薄膜トランジスタに入射される赤外線光を遮光するブラックマトリクスとをさらに含む
請求項4記載のマルチタッチ感知機能を有する液晶表示装置。 - 前記データラインに接続され、前記液晶パネル上の不透明物質の接触によって発生されるタッチイメージ及び背景イメージのデジタルビデオデータをアナログ形態の前記データ電圧に変換して前記データラインに供給する複数のデータ集積回路と、
前記ゲートラインに接続され、前記ゲートラインに前記スキャンパルスを順次供給する複数のゲート集積回路と、
前記リードアウトラインに接続され、前記リードアウトラインからの電荷を増幅し、増幅された電圧を出力するリードアウト集積回路と、
前記各集積回路の駆動タイミングを制御し、前記データ集積回路に前記タッチイメージ及び前記背景イメージのデジタルビデオデータを供給するデジタルボードと、
前記デジタルボードに接続されたシステム回路ボードとをさらに備える
請求項4記載のマルチタッチ感知機能を有する液晶表示装置。 - 前記デジタルボード、前記システム回路ボードのうちのいずれか一つは、前記タッチイメージのパターンを分析してタッチイメージの中心を検出するデジタルタッチイメージ処理回路を含む
請求項8記載のマルチタッチ感知機能を有する液晶表示装置。 - 赤外線−可視光変換層及び光センサーを有する液晶パネルに赤外線光を照射するステップと、
前記赤外線−可視光変換層を用いて、前記液晶パネルに不透明物質が接触する際、その接触面から反射される前記赤外線光を可視光に変換するステップと、
前記光センサーで可視光を感知するステップと
を含むことを特徴とするマルチタッチ感知機能を有する液晶表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記液晶パネルの下に配置されたバックライトユニットを用いて前記液晶パネルに光を照射するステップと、
前記接触面のタッチイメージを前記液晶パネルに表示するステップとをさらに含む
請求項10記載のマルチタッチ感知機能を有する液晶表示装置の駆動方法。
