Abstract
【効果】本発明は、生産性、量産性が高く、生産されたゴルフボールは、反発性が高く、耐擦過傷性に優れている。

Description
〔1〕コアと1層以上のカバー層とを有するゴルフボールの製造方法であって、上記カバー層は溶融したカバー樹脂材料を射出することにより形成されるものであり、上記カバー層のうち少なくとも1層のカバー樹脂材料として、(A)熱可塑性ポリウレタン、(B)ポリイソシアネート化合物及び(C)熱可塑性ポリウレタン以外の熱可塑性エラストマーを含有し、これらの組成比が、質量比で(A):(B):(C)=100:2〜50:0〜50である単一樹脂配合物を用い、上記カバー樹脂材料中に、上記(B)成分中のイソシアネート基の総数のうち10〜99%が未反応状態で残存した状態で、上記カバー樹脂材料を射出することを特徴とするゴルフボールの製造方法。
〔2〕上記カバー樹脂材料を射出成形機により射出する際、該カバー樹脂材料の供給部から射出成形機の内部に亘って、不活性ガス又は低露点エアーを充填することにより、上記(B)成分中のイソシアネート基の未反応状態を保つようにした〔1〕記載のゴルフボールの製造方法。
〔3〕上記カバー樹脂材料の各成分の組成比が、質量比で(A):(B):(C)=100:2〜30:8〜50である〔1〕又は〔2〕記載のゴルフボールの製造方法。
〔4〕上記カバー樹脂配合物の210℃におけるメルトマスフローレート(MFR)値が5g/10min以上である〔1〕、〔2〕又は〔3〕記載のゴルフボールの製造方法。
〔5〕上記カバー樹脂材料にリサイクル樹脂材料を含有させた〔1〕〜〔4〕のいずれか1項記載のゴルフボールの製造方法。
〔6〕上記カバー層を成形したゴルフボールを、150℃以下の温度環境及び/又は高湿度環境の下、所定時間にて後処理する〔1〕〜〔5〕のいずれか1項記載のゴルフボールの製造方法。
〔7〕上記の処理環境が、下記の(i)〜(iv)のうち1つから選ばれる〔6〕記載のゴルフボールの製造方法。
(i)120℃以下の熱源下、
(ii)80℃以下相対湿度50%以上の恒温恒湿槽内、
(iii)80℃以下の温水中、及び
(iv)25℃以下の水中
〔8〕上記の処理時間が5時間を超えないものである〔7〕記載のゴルフボールの製造方法。
本発明のゴルフボールの製造方法は、コアの周囲に溶融したカバー樹脂材料を射出することによりカバー層を成形し、コアと1層以上のカバー層とを有するゴルフボールを得るものである。本発明では、上記カバー樹脂材料として、(A)熱可塑性ポリウレタン、(B)ポリイソシアネート化合物及び(C)熱可塑性ポリウレタン以外の熱可塑性エラストマーを含有し、これらの組成比が、質量比で(A):(B):(C)=100:2〜50:0〜50である単一樹脂配合物を用いることを特徴とする。
コア組成
ポリブタジエンゴム 100質量部
アクリル酸亜鉛 24.5質量部
酸化亜鉛 12質量部
ジクミルパーオキサイド 1質量部
ペンタクロロチオフェノール亜鉛塩 1質量部
なお、カバー物性については、射出成形により得られた厚さ2mmのシートに100℃×8時間、アニール処理を施し、更に1週間室温に放置した後にカバー物性を測定した。結果を表1に示した。
「パンデックスT8295」(ディーアイシーバイエルポリマー社製)
ポリウレタン2(熱可塑性ポリウレタン材料)
「パンデックスT8295」と「パンデックスT8290」とを質量比75/25で使用。いずれもディーアイシーバイエルポリマー社の製品。
ポリウレタン3(熱可塑性ポリウレタン材料)
「パンデックスT8260」と「パンデックスT8295」とを質量比50/50で使用。いずれもディーアイシーバイエルポリマー社の製品。
「パンデックスT8295」の説明:MDI−PTMGタイプ熱可塑性ポリウレタン材料、樹脂硬度JIS−A「97」、反発弾性率44%
「パンデックスT8290」の説明:MDI−PTMGタイプ熱可塑性ポリウレタン材料、樹脂硬度JIS−A「93」、反発弾性率52%
「パンデックスT8260」の説明:MDI−PTMGタイプ熱可塑性ポリウレタン材料、デュロメータD型樹脂硬度「56」、反発弾性率45%
クロスネートEM−30(大日精化工業社製イソシアネートマスターバッチ、4,4’−ジフェニルメタンジイソシアネート30%含有。マスターバッチベース樹脂はポリエステルエラストマー)
ポリイソシアネート化合物
4,4’−ジフェニルメタンジイソシアネート
「サンワックス161P」(三洋化成社製)
モンタンワックス
「リコワックスE」(クラリアント・ジャパン社製)
熱可塑性ポリエーテルエステルエラストマー(東レ・デュポン社製の「ハイトレル4001」)を使用。
JIS−K7210(試験温度210℃、試験荷重21N(2.16kgf))に従い測定した材料のメルトフローレート(またはメルトインデックス)。
JIS−K7215に準拠したデュロメータD型硬度を測定した。
JIS−K7311に準拠した反発弾性率を測定した。
980N(100kg)荷重を加えた時のたわみ変形量を測定した。
USGA(R&A)の測定方法に準拠して測定した。
ボールを23℃、13℃、0℃に各々保温するとともに、スウィングロボットマシンを用い、クラブはピッチングウェッジを使用して、ヘッドスピード33m/sで各ボールを打撃し、打撃傷を以下の基準で目視にて評価した。
5点:傷がついていないか、ほとんど傷が目立たない。
4点:やや傷が見られるものの、ほとんど気にならない。
3点:表面がやや毛羽立っている。
2点:表面が毛羽立ったり、ディンプルが欠けたりしている。
1点:ディンプルが完全に削り取られてしまっている。
良 好:量産において成型条件が安定であり、樹脂焼け等の発生が少ない。
やや難:量産において成型条件が不安定であり、樹脂焼け等の発生頻度が高い。
Claims (8)
- コアと1層以上のカバー層とを有するゴルフボールの製造方法であって、上記カバー層は溶融したカバー樹脂材料を射出することにより形成されるものであり、上記カバー層のうち少なくとも1層のカバー樹脂材料として、(A)熱可塑性ポリウレタン、(B)ポリイソシアネート化合物及び(C)熱可塑性ポリウレタン以外の熱可塑性エラストマーを含有し、これらの組成比が、質量比で(A):(B):(C)=100:2〜50:0〜50である単一樹脂配合物を用い、上記カバー樹脂材料中に、上記(B)成分中のイソシアネート基の総数のうち10〜99%が未反応状態で残存した状態で、上記カバー樹脂材料を射出することを特徴とするゴルフボールの製造方法。
- 上記カバー樹脂材料を射出成形機により射出する際、該カバー樹脂材料の供給部から射出成形機の内部に亘って、不活性ガス又は低露点エアーを充填することにより、上記(B)成分中のイソシアネート基の未反応状態を保つようにした請求項1記載のゴルフボールの製造方法。
- 上記カバー樹脂材料の各成分の組成比が、質量比で(A):(B):(C)=100:2〜30:8〜50である請求項1又は2記載のゴルフボールの製造方法。
- 上記カバー樹脂配合物の210℃におけるメルトマスフローレート(MFR)値が5g/10min以上である請求項1、2又は3記載のゴルフボールの製造方法。
- 上記カバー樹脂材料にリサイクル樹脂材料を含有させた請求項1〜4のいずれか1項記載のゴルフボールの製造方法。
- 上記カバー層を成形したゴルフボールを、150℃以下の温度環境及び/又は高湿度環境の下、所定時間にて後処理する請求項1〜5のいずれか1項記載のゴルフボールの製造方法。
- 上記の処理環境が、下記の(i)〜(iv)のうち1つから選ばれる請求項6記載のゴルフボールの製造方法。
(i)120℃以下の熱源下、
(ii)80℃以下相対湿度50%以上の恒温恒湿槽内、
(iii)80℃以下の温水中、及び
(iv)25℃以下の水中 - 上記の処理時間が5時間を超えないものである請求項7記載のゴルフボールの製造方法。
