Abstract
【解決手段】 熱板3の各領域に設けた温度検出器(9a,9b,9c,9d)の作動を許可し、温度検出器の出力に基づき熱源(4a,4b,4c,4d)を点灯制御して、熱板の表面温度を一定に保つようにする第1の点灯制御モードと、各領域に設けた温度検出器の作動を禁止し、熱源を所定の点灯率で点灯させる第2の点灯制御モードとを備え、各領域の熱源を第1の点灯制御モードまたは第2の点灯制御モードで点灯させる制御手段11とを有する。

Description
(1)各発熱領域に設けた温度センサ9a〜9dの作動を許可し、温度センサ9a〜9dの出力に基づきヒータ4a〜4dを点灯制御して、予熱板3の表面温度をトナー像の軟化に必要な温度範囲内で一定に保つようにする第1の点灯制御モードと、
(2)各発熱領域に設けた温度センサ9a〜9dの作動を禁止し、ヒータ4a〜4dを所定の点灯率で点灯させる第2の点灯制御モードと
を備えている。

Claims (4)
- トナー像を保持した記録材を加熱する加熱装置であって、
前記記録材の走行方向および該走行方向と直交する方向において分けられた複数の領域を有し、各領域にそれぞれ熱源と温度検出器を備えてなる熱板と、
前記各領域に設けた温度検出器の作動を許可し、温度検出器の出力に基づき前記熱源を点灯制御して、前記熱板の表面温度を一定に保つようにする第1の点灯制御モードと、前記各領域に設けた温度検出器の作動を禁止し、前記熱源を所定の点灯率で点灯させる第2の点灯制御モードとを備え、前記各領域の熱源を第1の点灯制御モードまたは第2の点灯制御モードで点灯させる制御手段と
を有することを特徴とする加熱装置。 - 第1の点灯制御モードおよび第2の点灯制御モードは、前記各領域毎に設定されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の加熱装置。
- 第2の点灯制御モードにおける熱源の点灯率は、予め設定された複数の点灯率から選択されることを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の加熱装置。
- 請求項1乃至3いずれかの項に記載の加熱装置を、定着ローラに対し記録材走行方向上流側に設けたことを特徴とする定着装置。
