Abstract

Claims (4)
- 基板と、
上記基板に支持された発熱抵抗体と、
上記発熱抵抗体に通電するための電極と、
上記発熱抵抗体を覆う保護膜と、
を備えるサーマルプリントヘッドであって、
上記保護膜は、高熱伝導率部と、上記高熱伝導率部よりも熱伝導率が低く、かつ上記高熱伝導率部よりも上記発熱抵抗体から離間している低熱伝導率部とを含んでいることを特徴とする、サーマルプリントヘッド。 - 上記保護膜は、高熱伝導率層と、上記高熱伝導率層の材質よりも熱伝導率が低い材質からなり、上記高熱伝導率層よりも上記発熱抵抗体から離間している低熱伝導率層とが積層された構造とされている、請求項1に記載のサーマルプリントヘッド。
- 上記高熱伝導率層は、SiC、SiN、またはサイアロンからなり、
上記低熱伝導率層は、TaNからなる、請求項2に記載のサーマルプリントヘッド。 - 上記保護膜は、その厚さ方向において上記発熱抵抗体から離間するほど熱伝導率が低くなっている、請求項1に記載のサーマルプリントヘッド。
