Abstract
【解決手段】この発明に係る超高圧水銀ランプ10は、リフレクタ5の開口部20側に位置する第1の電極3aと、リフレクタ5のネック部5a側に位置する第2の電極3bとを有し、内部に水銀を封入した発光管1を備え、交流点灯方式の超高圧水銀ランプ10において、交流ランプ電流を超高圧水銀ランプ10に供給して点灯する際に、交流ランプ電流の極性と同一の電流パルスを交流ランプ電流に重畳し、第1の電極3aへの電流パルスのパルス幅を、第2の電極3bへの電流パルスのパルス幅よりも大きくしたことを特徴とする。

図1乃至図4は実施の形態1を示す図で、図1はプロジェクタ装置100の一例を示す図、図2は超高圧水銀ランプ10の一部を破断した側面図、図3は発光管1の断面図、図4は超高圧水銀ランプ10に供給する交流ランプ電流の波形を示す図である。
Claims (2)
- リフレクタの開口部側に位置する第1の電極と、リフレクタのネック部側に位置する第2の電極とを有し、内部に水銀を封入した発光管を備え、交流点灯方式の超高圧水銀ランプにおいて、
交流ランプ電流を当該超高圧水銀ランプに供給して点灯する際に、前記交流ランプ電流の極性と同一の電流パルスを前記交流ランプ電流に重畳し、
前記第1の電極への前記電流パルスのパルス幅を、前記第2の電極への前記電流パルスのパルス幅よりも大きくしたことを特徴とする超高圧水銀ランプ。 - 前記第1の電極への前記電流パルスのパルス幅の、前記第2の電極への前記電流パルスのパルス幅に対する比を、1.9〜3.0としたことを特徴とする請求項1記載の超高圧水銀ランプ。
