Description
論文"防振のための低モジュラス、高ダンピング、疲れ寿命の長いエラストマー化合物"、ラバーケミストリー&テクノロジー(Rubber Chemistry & Technology)の 57(4) 792- 803 (1984)、エム.エー.レミュー(M.A. Lemieux)とピー.シー.キルゴール,ジュニア(P. C. Killgoar, Jr)の共著
ゴム組成物は、通常のゴムの混合方法によって用意された。BR Banbury(ファレル(Farrel Corporation)の登録商標)ミキサーを混合チャンバーとし、ゴムのバッチサイズは、その内部の容量の約75%まで充填されるものであった。ミキサーは水によって冷却され、70rpmで運転された。まず、混合チャンバーの中に、EPDMとMWが100,000より高いBPとを入れて、1分間ブレンドした。次いで、パーオキサイド加硫剤以外の、MWが100,000より小さいBPポリマーを含む、全ての付加的な原料を加えた。ラムは混合開始の3,5,6.5分後に、清掃のため(for sweeping)に上げられた。混合は開始から約8分して終了した。混合物は2ロールミルにおいて冷却され、その後、パーオキサイド加硫剤がそのミルに加えられた。各組成物のサンプルは、アルファテクノロジー(alpha Technologies)製のラバープロセスアナライザー(Rubber Process Analyzer)(RPA)を使用して評価された。RPAは、ゴム組成物を加硫し、その後、7%の歪を作用させ、かつ1分間における振動数を100回転にし、いくつかの温度における一連のtanδを測定するようにプログラムされていた。

Claims (15)
- ゴム振動吸収要素を備え、前記ゴム要素は、エチレン−α−オレフィンエラストマー100部と、約5000より大きい粘度平均分子量を有する実質的にイソブチレン又はブテンのポリマー20〜100部とを備える振動吸収装置。
- 前記装置は、クランクシャフト捩り振動ダンパーであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記ゴム要素は、フリーラジカル生成物質によって加硫されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記フリーラジカル生成物質は、有機パーオキサイド及び電離線から成る群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記エラストマーは、エチレンプロピレン共重合体、エチレンプロピレンジエン三元共重合体、エチレンオクテン共重合体、エチレンオクテンジエン三元共重合体、エチレンブテン共重合体、エチレンブテンジエン三元共重合体及びこれらの混合物から成る群より選択されることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の装置。
- 前記ポリマーは、約10,000より大きい粘度平均分子量を有することを特徴とする請求項5に記載の装置。
- 前記ポリマーは、約50,000〜約1,250,000の範囲の粘度平均分子量を有することを特徴とする請求項5に記載の装置。
- フリーラジカル加硫されたゴム振動吸収要素を備え、前記ゴム要素は、エチレン−α−オレフィンエラストマー100部と、約50,000〜約1,250,000の範囲の粘度平均分子量を有し、ポリブチレン、ポリイソブチレン、ポリブテン、及びポリイソブチレンイソプレン共重合体からなる群より選択される1又はそれ以上のポリマー20〜100部とを備える振動吸収ダンパー。
- エチレン−α−オレフィンエラストマー100部と、tanδが約20%より大きく増加することによって示される、組成物の振動ダンピング特性の実質的な向上を実現させる効果的な量の約5000より大きい粘度平均分子量を有する実質的にイソブチレン又はブテンのポリマーと、を備えるゴム組成物。
- 金属接着補助剤を備える請求項9に記載の組成物。
- 前記ポリマーは、イソブチレンとイソプレンの共重合体であって、約1モル%より少ないイソプレンを有することを特徴とする請求項9に記載の組成物。
- 前記ポリマーは、約50,000〜約1,250,000の範囲の粘度平均分子量を有することを特徴とする請求項11に記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物はパーオキサイド加硫されることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の組成物。
- 型成型又は押出成型によって形成され、かつフリーラジカル加硫されるエチレン−α−オレフィンゴムを備え、前記ゴムは、そのゴムのダンピング特性を実質的に向上させるために効果的な量の、約5000より大きい粘度平均分子量を有する実質的にイソブチレン又はブテンのポリマーを備える、ベルト、ホース、及び振動制御装置から成る群から選択される製品。
- 前記ポリマーは、約50,000〜約1,250,000の範囲の粘度平均分子量を有することを特徴とする請求項14に記載の製品。
