Abstract
【解決手段】脈管閉塞インプラントは、主軸と、三次元の二次形状を規定する一次螺旋コイル形状を有する。二次形状は、ほぼ螺旋形のセクションと、複数の非オーバーラップループまたはループセクションを有する第2セクションを具える。各ループは、直前のループまたは直後のループによって規定される面に対して主軸に沿って約30−150度の角度をなす方向にある面を規定する。このコイルセクションまたはループは、ほぼ円形ループであるか、またはその他の平滑形状である。

Description
本発明は、一般的に、脈管閉塞デバイスに関し、特に、螺旋形コイルの一次形状と、非オーバーラップ部分を有する二次形状を有する脈管閉塞インプラントに関する。
脈管閉塞デバイスは、例えば、脳の脈管構造中に位置する動脈瘤内など、患者の脈管構造内のキャビティ内に配置するインプラントである。このデバイスは、通常、処置部位へ腔内を通って進める送出カテーテルを用いてインプラントされる。
一の実施例によれば、脈管閉塞コイルは、主軸を規定する細長で螺旋形の一次形状と、ほぼ螺旋形の第1セクションと第2セクションを有する三次元二次形状と、を具える。第2セクションは、複数の非オーバーラップループを具える。各ループは、主軸に沿って直前又は直後のループによって規定される面に対して約30度ないし約150度の角度をなす面を規定している。
以下の説明において、添付の図面が参照されており、この図面は、本発明の特別な実施例を例示するものである。その他の実施例も利用できると解するべきである。
Claims (13)
- 細長の螺旋形一次形状を有する脈管閉塞コイルにおいて、前記一次形状が主軸を規定しており、前記コイルが更に、三次元二次形状を有し、前記二次形状が、ほぼ螺旋形の第1セクションと、複数の非オーバーラップループを有する第2セクションを具え、各ループが前記主軸に沿って直前あるいは直後にあるループで規定される面に対して約30度から約150度の角度に方向付けられた面を規定することを特徴とする脈管閉塞コイル。
- 請求項1に記載のコイルにおいて、前記複数の非オーバーラップループがほぼ円形ループを具えることを特徴とする脈管閉塞コイル。
- 請求項1又は2に記載のコイルにおいて、前記複数の非オーバーラップループがほぼ楕円ループを具えることを特徴とする脈管閉塞コイル。
- 請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載のコイルにおいて、前記一次形状が前記二次形状内に巻回されており、前記複数の非オーバーラップループが、互いに接触することなく巻回されていることを特徴とする脈管閉塞コイル。
- 請求項1乃至4のいずれかに記載のコイルにおいて、前記非オーバーラップループのループが互いに接触せず、前記二次形状に与えられる外力がないことを特徴とする脈管閉塞コイル。
- 請求項1乃至5のいずれかに記載のコイルにおいて、前記二次形状がさらに、ほぼ螺旋形の第3セクションを具え、前記第2セクションが前記主軸に沿って、前記第1及び第3のセクションの間に配置されていることを特徴とする脈管閉塞コイル。
- 請求項1乃至6のいずれかに記載のコイルにおいて、前記非オーバーラップループの各々が、前記主軸に沿って直前あるいは直後のループによって規定される面とほぼ直交する方向の面を規定することを特徴とする脈管閉塞コイル。
- 請求項1乃至7のいずれかに記載のコイルにおいて、前記非オーバーラップループの少なくとも2つのループが、互いにほぼ平行に配置された各面を規定することを特徴とする脈管閉塞コイル。
- 請求項1乃至8のいずれかに記載のコイルにおいて、前記非オーバーラップループの各々が、前記非オーバーラップループの別のループで規定される面に対してほぼ平行に配置されている面を規定することを特徴とする脈管閉塞コイル。
- 請求項1乃至9のいずれかに記載のコイルにおいて、前記第2セクションが、約15の非オーバーラップループを有することを特徴とする脈管閉塞コイル。
- 請求項1乃至10のいずれかに記載のコイルにおいて、前記非オーバーラップループのうちの少なくとも一つが、前記軸の周囲に約360度未満で巻回されていることを特徴とする脈管閉塞コイル。
- 請求項1乃至11のいずれかに記載のコイルにおいて、前記非オーバーラップループのうちの少なくとも一つが、前記軸の周囲に約270度未満で巻回されていることを特徴とする脈管閉塞コイル。
- 請求項1乃至12のいずれかに記載のコイルにおいて、前記非オーバーラップループのうちの少なくとも一つが、前記軸の周囲に約180度未満で巻回されていることを特徴とする脈管閉塞コイル。
