Description
Claims (10)
- 音声通信をしながら移動局によって無線ローカルエリアネットワーク(WLAN)における省電力動作を行う方法であって、
アクセスポイントにおいて予約トラフィックストリームを受け入れるステップであって、該ステップは、前記移動局に送信すべき前記予約トラフィックストリームに対応するデータを一時保存するために前記アクセスポイントにおいて予約バッファを設けることを含むことと、
前記移動局のWLANサブシステムを低電力状態から立ち上げるステップと、
WLANチャンネルを通じて前記アクセスポイントにポーリングフレームを送信するステップであって、前記ポーリングフレームは前記予約トラフィックストリームを特定すると共に、集合インディケータを含むことと、
前記ポーリングフレームの送信に対応して、前記WLANチャンネルを通じて前記移動局において集合応答を受信するステップであって、前記集合応答は前記アクセスポイントの集合バッファからの少なくとも一つのデータフレームを含み、前記集合バッファは前記移動局のための非予約データと予約データの両方を一時保存するためのものであり、前記集合応答の受信は、前記集合バッファが空になるか、サービス期間が終了するまで続くことと、
前記集合応答を受信すると同時に、前記WLANサブシステムを前記低電力状態に設定するステップと
を備えたことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1に記載の省電力動作を行う方法であって、前記集合応答は前記ポーリングフレームの中の集合ビットに対応して送信されることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1に記載の省電力動作を行う方法であって、前記ポーリングフレームの送信に対応して、前記WLANチャンネルを通じての前記アクセスポイントからの肯定応答フレームを前記移動局において受信するステップを更に備えたことを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1に記載の省電力動作を行う方法であって、前記少なくとも一つの応答フレームの受信に対応して前記WLANチャンネルを通じて前記移動局から前記アクセスポイントに肯定応答フレームを送信するステップを更に備えたことを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1に記載の省電力動作を行う方法であって、
前記集合応答を受信するステップは、第2応答フレームが引き続き送信されることを示すように設定されたMORE_DATAビットを有する前記集合応答の第1フレームのヘッダを受信することを含み、
当該方法は更に、前記移動局において第2応答フレームを受信するステップを備えたことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1に記載の省電力動作を行う方法であって、前記ポーリングフレームを送信するステップは、ヌルフレームを送信することを備えたことを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項6に記載の省電力動作を行う方法であって、前記ヌルフレームの送信はサービス間隔の始めに起動されたウィンドウタイマーの終了と同時に行われ、前記サービス間隔は音声フレームのリアルタイム期間を規定し、前記ウィンドウタイマーは前記サービス間隔よりも少ない期間を有することを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項1に記載の省電力動作を行う方法であって、該方法は更に、前記WLANサブシステムを立ち上げた後に前記WLANチャンネルを取得するステップであって、該ステップは前記WLANチャンネルの取り合いによって行われることを備えたことを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項8に記載の省電力動作を行う方法であって、前記WLANチャンネルの取り合いは、搬送波検知によって行われることを特徴とする方法。
- 音声通信をしながら移動局によって無線ローカルエリアネットワーク(WLAN)におけるアクセスポイントによる省電力動作を容易にする方法であって、該方法は、
アクセスポイントにおいて予約トラフィックストリームを受け入れるステップであって、前記移動局に送信すべき前記予約トラフィックストリームに対応するデータを一時保存するために前記アクセスポイントにおいて予約バッファを設けることを含み、前記予約バッファと非予約バッファが前記アクセスポイントにおける集合バッファを形成し、非予約データが前記非予約バッファに一時保存されることと、
前記WLANチャンネルを通じての前記移動局からのポーリングフレームを前記アクセスポイントにおいて受信するステップであって、前記ポーリングフレームは前記予約トラフィックストリームを特定することと、
前記移動局に送るべき一時保存されたデータがあるか否か前記集合バッファをチェックするステップと、
前記WLANチャンネルを通じて前記移動局に集合応答を送信するステップであって、前記集合応答は前記アクセスポイントによって送信されると共に、前記集合バッファの中のデータを含み、前記送信は前記集合バッファが空になるか、サービス期間に達するまで続くことと
を備えたことを特徴とする方法。
