Claims (20)
- 内燃機関の燃料システムを制御するための方法であって、前記燃料システムが、アルコールを含む液体燃料源と、少なくとも1つの燃料噴射装置と、前記少なくとも1つの燃料噴射装置における液体燃料を加熱するための熱源であって、液体燃料を少なくともその一部を液体状態から蒸気状態に変換するのに十分なレベルに加熱することができる熱源と、ある範囲の流量を達成するように作動可能な絞り弁であって、前記流量の範囲は、開弁対閉弁デューティサイクルによって特徴付けられるような絞り弁とを備えるような方法において、
(a)エンジン運転状態に基づき、所定量の燃料を計量送給する段階と、
(b)前記少なくとも1つの燃料噴射装置の前記熱源に供給される電力を目標温度を達成するように制御する段階と、
(c)燃料のアルコール濃度を決定する段階と、
(c)前記段階(c)の決定に基づき、前記少なくとも1つの燃料噴射装置の前記熱源に供給される前記電力を調整する段階と、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記内燃機関に送給される燃料が蒸気状態で送給されるべきかどうかを決定する段階をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記内燃機関に送給される燃料が蒸気状態で送給されるべきかどうかを決定する前記段階は、
(i)エンジン暖機の程度を示す値を測定する段階と、
(ii)エンジン暖機の程度を示す前記値が所定レベル未満の場合、前記燃料が蒸気状態で送給されることを決定する段階と
をさらに含み、
前記(ii)の決定は、前記段階(c)において決定された前記アルコール濃度の関数であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 燃料が液体状態で送給されるべきか又は蒸気状態で送給されるべきかを決定する前記段階は、前記燃料が蒸気状態で送給されるという決定をもたらすことを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 液体燃料噴射に切換える段階をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の方法。

前記アルコール濃度が、前記少なくとも1つの燃料噴射装置の測定されたデューティサイクルにおける噴射装置の質量流量と目標抵抗設定値を達成するために前記熱源に供給される電力との間の所定の関係を用いて決定されることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の方法。 - 前記アルコール濃度の決定に応じて、前記抵抗値を調整する段階をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の方法。

(c)燃料を前記内燃機関に計量送給するための絞り弁であって、開弁対閉弁デューティサイクルによって特徴付けられる範囲の流量を達成するように作動可能な絞り弁と、
(d)前記複数の燃料噴射装置の各々の前記熱源に供給される電力を所定の目標温度を達成するように制御する制御装置と、
(e)前記内燃機関のエンジン暖機の程度を示す値を測定するためのセンサと
を備え、
前記燃料システムは、前記液体燃料源の前記アルコール濃度を決定することが可能となっていることを特徴とする燃料システム。 - 前記熱源に供給される電力は抵抗値を設定することによって制御され、前記抵抗値は所定の目標温度に関連付けられ、前記制御装置は前記液体燃料源の前記アルコール濃度を決定するように作動可能であることを特徴とする、請求項13に記載の燃料システム。

- 前記熱源は、2値電源であることを特徴とする、請求項13、14あるいは15のいずれかに記載の燃料システム。
- 前記熱源は、比例−積分−微分制御装置を備えていることを特徴とする、請求項13、14、あるいは15に記載の燃料システム。
- 前記燃料噴射装置の各々は、少なくとも1つの毛細管流路を備えることを特徴とする、請求項13、14あるいは15のいずれかに記載の燃料システム。
- 前記熱源は、前記少なくとも1つの毛細管流路に沿って配置されていることを特徴とする、請求項18に記載の燃料システム。
- 前記制御装置は、前記液体燃料源の前記アルコール濃度を決定するために、前記少なくとも1つの燃料噴射装置の測定されたデューティサイクルにおける燃料噴射装置の質量流量と前記熱源に供給される電力との間の所定の関係によって、プログラム化されていることを特徴とする、請求項19に記載の燃料システム。
