Abstract
Description
b.アイオノマー樹脂、エチレン酸ポリマー、エチレン共重合体、エチレン酸三元重合体、メタロセン触媒による超低密度ポリエチレン(m−VLDPE)、またはそれらの2つ以上の組合せから選択された、顔料、染料、フレーク、添加剤、またはそれらの2つ以上を含有する第2共押出ポリマー層と、
c.メタロセン触媒によるm−VLDPEの第2共押出層と接触した第3共押出接着層と、
d.任意選択的に、少なくとも1つの追加の共押出された第4の熱成形可能なポリマー層またはバッキング層、例えば、第3共押出層と接触し、それに接着しているポリプロピレン、ポリプロピレンの共重合体、ポリプロピレンのランダムポリマー、ポリプロピレンと他のポリオレフィンとのブレンドと
を含むまたはまたはそれらから製造された多層シート。
「(メタ)アクリル酸」はアクリル酸およびメタクリル酸を意味し、用語「(メタ)アクリレート」はアクリレートおよびメタクリレートを意味する。
本発明の多層シート材料の表面用に使用されるアイオノマー樹脂(第1共押出ポリマー層)は、当業者に周知の従来の重合技法によって製造し、亜鉛、ナトリウム、リチウム、マグネシウム、カルシウムおよびそれらの任意の混合物のような金属イオンで中和することができ、優れた耐スクラッチ性および耐表面損傷性ならびに十分な耐温度性を有する表層を形成する。有用なアイオノマーは0.7%より上の酸モル含有率、40%より大きいレベルへの酸官能基の中和、および5未満の、好ましくは0.4〜4.0の範囲のMI(メルトインデックス)を有することができる。
層は、顔料、染料、アルミニウムフレークのようなフレーク、他の添加物およびそれらの混合物を含有する着色または有色素層であることができる。アイオノマー樹脂をこの有色素層用に使用することができる。有色素層に使用されるアイオノマー樹脂は、第1クリア層について上に記載されたものの任意のものであることができ、好ましくは、第1および第2層間に良好な層間接着性があることを保証するために同じ樹脂または非常に加工相溶性のアイオノマー樹脂が使用される。
第2または第3共押出ポリマー層は、第1または第2有色素共押出ポリマー層におよびバッキング層に接着性を与える。メタロセン触媒によるm−VLDPEは、アイオノマー層とポリプロピレン層、特にポリプロピレンのランダム共重合体との間に高レベルの接着性を与えるために使用することができる。メタロセンVLDPEはまた、ポリエチレンおよびポリエチレン共重合体に高レベルの接着性を与える。
プラスチック中へ通常配合されるまたはコーティング組成物に加えられる添加剤は、形成される生成製品の最終用途、すなわち、自動車またはトラック部品またはパネルまたはラミネートまたはフィルムに必要とされるように第1および第2共押出ポリマー層に含まれてもよい。これらの要件およびこれらの要件を満たすために必要とされる添加剤は当業者に周知である。必要とされる物質に典型的なものは、例えば、UV吸収剤、UVヒンダードアミン系光安定剤、酸化防止剤および熱安定剤、加工助剤、顔料などである。含まれる場合、これらの成分は好ましくはポリマー材料100重量部当たり約0.5〜約3.0(好ましくは約1.0〜約2.0)部の量で存在するが、より少ないまたはより多い量で存在してもよい。
第3ポリマー層が接着することができるバッキング層または第4共押出ポリマー材料は、必要なバッキング剛性および必要とされる特性を与える様々なポリマーの任意のものであることができる。ポリプロピレン、ポリプロピレンの共重合体、ポリプロピレンのランダムポリマーおよび共重合体、ポリプロピレンとポリエチレンとのブレンド、ポリエチレン共重合体、ならびにポリエチレンと他のポリオレフィンとのブレンドなどが典型的に有用である。
シート材料は、当業者に公知の溶融共押出法を用いて製造することができる。シート材料は、シート材料の様々な層用のポリマー成分のそれぞれを別個の押出機中へ装入することによって形成することができる。各成分は溶融され、パイプを通して供給ブロック中へポンプ送液され、供給ブロックは異なるフローを単フロー流れとして押出ダイ・マニホールドに入る直前に一緒に層状にする。多層の溶融カーテンは押出ダイを出て移動ロール上へ置かれ、移動ロールは冷えつつある多層シート材料をギャップまたはニップを通して逆転移動ロール中へ、次に典型的には第3冷却ローラーに、そして次に取り出しシステムを通して2ローラー間の別のニップに移し、ニップは取り出しシステムを通してシートを引っ張る。上記の配置は一貫した仕上げを高い光沢を有するシートに提供し、一様な厚さを有するシートを形成する。本方法中にシート材料は、層間に高レベルの接着を保証するために、例えば、2ローラーのニップ中で生み出され得る比較的高い圧力にさらされることが好ましい。
Claims (8)
- a.酸部分の少なくとも35%が金属イオンで中和された、エチレンと、共重合体の重量を基準にして8〜25重量%のC3〜C8α,βエチレン性不飽和モノカルボン酸との共重合体のアイオノマー樹脂を含む第1共押出クリアポリマー層と、
c.メタロセン触媒による超低密度ポリエチレンを含み、顔料、染料、フレークおよびそれらの任意の混合物を含有する別の共押出ポリマー層と
を含むまたはそれらから製造されることを特徴とする多層シート。 - b.アイオノマー樹脂、エチレン酸共重合体、エチレン共重合体、エチレン酸三元重合体、もしくはメタロセン触媒による超低密度ポリエチレン、またはそれらの2つ以上の組合せの群から選択される第2共押出ポリマー層であって、顔料、染料、フレークおよびそれらの任意の混合物を含む層
をさらに含むまたはそれから製造されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の多層シート。 - d.ポリプロピレン、ポリプロピレンと別のポリオレフィンとのポリマー混合物、ポリプロピレンのランダム共重合体の第2層に接着された共押出熱成形可能なバッキング層
をさらに含む、またはそれから製造されることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の多層シート。 - 前記第1層がUV安定剤およびUV吸収剤をアイオノマー樹脂100部当たり0.5〜3.0部の量で含有することを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の多層シート。
- 前記第1共押出層がエチレンと、共重合体の重量を基準にして10〜25重量%のメタクリル酸またはアクリル酸とのアイオノマー樹脂より本質的になり、そして酸の35〜75%がナトリウム、亜鉛、リチウム、マグネシウム、カルシウムおよびそれらの任意の混合物よりなる群から選択される金属イオンで中和されており、そして0.4〜4.0のメルトインデックスを有し、好ましくは該共重合体がナトリウム、亜鉛、または両方で中和されている12〜18重量%のアクリル酸を含むことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の多層シート。
- 前記第2共押出ポリマー層は、加工可能で前記第1共押出層の前記アイオノマー樹脂に接着可能なアイオノマー樹脂もしくはエチレン酸共重合体もしくはエチレン酸三元重合体またはそれらの2つ以上のすべての混合物を含み、顔料、染料、フレークおよびそれらの任意の混合物を含有することを特徴とする請求項2〜5のいずれか一項に記載の多層シート。
- 前記第1共押出ポリマー層がクリア層であり、そしてエチレンと、共重合体の重量を基準にして12〜18重量%のメタクリル酸または共重合体の重量を基準にして10〜15重量%のアクリル酸とのアイオノマー樹脂より本質的になり、そしてナトリウム、亜鉛、リチウム、マグネシウム、カルシウムおよびそれらの任意の混合物よりなる群から選択される金属イオンで35〜75%中和されており、そして前記第2共押出ポリマー層が金属イオンで中和された前記アイオノマー樹脂より本質的になり、かつ、顔料、染料、フレークおよびそれらの混合物を含有し、そして共押出第3ポリマー層がバッキング層に接着されたメタロセン触媒による超低密度ポリエチレンを含み、そして第4共押出バッキング層がポリプロピレンのランダム共重合体を含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の多層シート。
- クラスA表面を有する自動車部品、トラック部品、自動車もしくはトラック車体パネル、またはレクリエーショナル・ビークルの部品もしくはパネルをさらに構成することを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の多層シート。
