Abstract
【解決手段】斜め方向を向いた周囲壁(56)を有するCT検出セル(52)が構築される。そのような構成により、結果として、そのような検出セル(52)からなるCT検出器(52)は、空間有効範囲(空間密度)が改善されている。また、空間有効範囲が増えるにもかかわらず、検出チャネルの数は増えない。さらに、検出セル(52)は、従来の製造方法をあまり変えずに製造可能である。

a=bであれば、αは約26.5°である。しかしながら、当業者であれば、本発明がa=bのケースだけに限定されないことを理解されよう。たとえば、好ましい一実施形態では、b=a√3/2である。このケースは、サンプリング密度に関しては特に最適であることがわかっており、この場合、αは30°である。αが30°であれば、検出器の行列または配列は六方格子になる。当然ながら、他のαの値も想定される。

Claims (10)
- ほぼ平面の有効面(54)と、
前記ほぼ平面の有効面(54)を規定する1組の周囲壁(56)とを備え、1対の周囲壁(56)の間に形成される交差の角度(a1、a2)が鋭角である検出セル(52)。 - 前記1組の周囲壁(56)が4つの周囲壁(56)を含む、請求項1記載の検出セル(52)。
- 前記4つの周囲壁(56)のうちの2つが互いに平行であり、前記4つの周囲壁(56)のうちの他の2つが互いに平行である、請求項2記載の検出セル(52)。
- 互いに交差する任意の2つの周囲壁(56)の間の交差の角度(a1、a2)が90°ではない、請求項2記載の検出セル(52)。
- 前記ほぼ平面の有効面(54)に接続され、前記ほぼ平面のX線面(54)によって受け取られたX線を光に変換するシンチレータ部をさらに備える、請求項1記載の検出セル(52)。
- 前記ほぼ平面の有効面(54)に接続され、X線を電気信号に直接変換するように設計されたシンチレータ部をさらに備える、請求項1記載の検出セル(52)。
- シンチレータウェハの2回の切断によって形成され、前記2回の切断のワイヤピッチがほぼ同等である、請求項1記載の検出セル(52)。
- 所定のワイヤピッチで前記シンチレータウェハの第1の切断を実施した後、前記シンチレータウェハを90°未満の角度だけ回転させ、前記所定のワイヤピッチで第2の切断を実施することによって、さらに形成される、請求項7記載の検出セル(52)。
- 前記交差角度(a1、a2)が約20〜40°である、請求項1記載の検出セル(52)。
- 前記交差角度(a1、a2)が26.5°または30.0°のいずれかである、請求項9記載の検出セル(52)。
