(式中R1は、それぞれ水酸基、ハロゲン原子、ニトロ基、シアノ基、カルボキシル基、アルコキシ基またはカルボニル基を有していてもよい炭素数1〜15の炭化水素基または水素原子を示し、Xは塩素原子、臭素原子、ヨウ素原子を示す。)
メルク社製32%の分析用塩酸(鉄分0.1ppm以下、カルシウム分0.2ppm以下、ナトリウム分0.2ppm以下)を純水(鉄分0.01ppm以下、カルシウム分0.13ppm以下、ナトリウム分0.17ppm)で10%に希釈した。この塩酸にフラスコなど反応に用いる器具を一晩(18時間)浸漬した。浸漬後、前記同様の純水を用いて塩酸の付着した器具を洗浄し、次にメタノール(プラズマ発光分析(ICP)法で測定した無機物含有量:鉄分0.1ppm以下、カルシウム分0.1ppm以下、ナトリウム分0.1ppm以下)で、付着水を置換した。アルゴン気流下で器具を乾燥させた後、反応容器に、1−メチルイミダゾール100g(1.19mol)(鉄分0.5ppm以下、カルシウム分0.5ppm以下、ナトリウム分1.0ppm以下)、臭化エチル160g(1.23mol)(鉄分0.5ppm以下、カルシウム分0.5ppm以下、ナトリウム分1.0ppm以下)を仕込み、30℃で10時間反応した。反応終了後、過剰の臭化エチルを留去し、233gの1−エチル−3−メチルイミダゾリウムブロミドを得た。かかる1−エチル−3−メチルイミダゾリウムブロミドをICP法で含有無機物を定量したところ、鉄分0.5ppm以下、カルシウム分0.5ppm以下であった。
塩酸による洗浄を行わない以外は実施例1と同じ方法により、1−エチル−3−メチルイミダゾリウムブロミドを得た。含有無機物を定量したところ、鉄分2.5ppm、カルシウム分3.0ppmであった。
実施例および比較例で得られた1−エチル−3−メチルイミダゾリウムブロミドをプロピレンカーボネートに溶解させ、1mol/L溶液を調製し、この溶液を試料としボルタンメトリーの測定を行った。測定にはSolartron SI 1280を用いた。作用極はプラチナ、対極はプラチナ線、参照電極はバイコールガラスで区切ったガラス管にテトラエチルアンモニウムテトラフルオロボレート(0.1mol/L)およびフッ化銀(0.01mol/L)を溶解させたプロピレンカーボネートを入れ、これにプラチナ線を浸漬させたものを使用した。測定温度は30℃、掃引速度は20mV/secであった。測定結果を図1に示す。
Claims (3)
- 予め酸に接触させた器具を用いてN−置換イミダゾールとハロゲン化アルキルを反応させることを特徴とする請求項1記載のハロゲン化イミダゾリウムの製造方法。
- 器具を酸に接触させた後、さらに純水に接触させることを特徴とする請求項2記載のハロゲン化イミダゾリウムの製造方法。
