Abstract
【解決手段】基台で広角カメラ3と望遠カメラ5とを支持する。広角カメラ3は、撮影光軸3aが一定方向を指向するように固定される。望遠カメラ5は電動式架台6によりパンニング方向及びチルト方向に傾けることができ、撮影光軸5aの指向方向を変更することができる。広角カメラ3からの画像信号を評価して広角カメラの撮影画面内で動体画像が識別されると、画面中心との相対位置に基づいて動体の位置に対応する指向情報が算出される。この指向情報により撮影光軸5aが動体に指向するように望遠カメラ5の姿勢が制御される。以後は、望遠カメラ5の撮影画面の中心で動体画像を捕捉するように望遠カメラ5の姿勢制御が継続され、望遠カメラ5は追尾しながら動体を撮影する。

Claims (7)
- 広角レンズを通して得た光学像を画像信号に変換して出力するとともに、撮影光軸を一定方向に向けて固定された広角カメラと、
望遠レンズを通して得た光学画像を画像信号に変換して出力するとともに、撮影光軸が傾けられるように少なくとも一つの旋回軸に関して回動自在に支持された望遠カメラと、
前記広角カメラからの画像信号に基づいてその撮影範囲内から動体画像を識別し、撮影範囲内における前記動体画像の位置に対応した指向情報を算出する指向情報算出手段と、
前記指向情報に基づき、広角カメラで撮影された動体に望遠カメラの撮影光軸を向けるように前記旋回軸を中心に望遠カメラを回動させるカメラ姿勢制御手段と、
望遠カメラから順次に出力される画像信号に基づいてその撮影範囲の中心に動体画像を捕捉するように望遠カメラの撮影光軸を向ける追尾情報を算出する追尾情報算出手段とを備え、
前記追尾情報が算出された後は、前記指向情報に代えてこの追尾情報によりリアルタイムで前記カメラ姿勢制御手段を制御し、望遠カメラで動体の撮影を継続して行うことを特徴とする監視カメラ装置。 - 前記望遠レンズが変倍可能であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の監視カメラ装置。
- 前記広角カメラが複数台設けられ、これらの広角カメラは画角が等しく撮影範囲が異なることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の監視カメラ装置。
- 前記広角カメラが、互いに焦点距離が異なり、焦点距離が長いほど遠距離にピント合わせされるとともに各々の撮影範囲を略等しくした複数種類の定点撮影カメラからなり、これらの定点撮影カメラは、ピント合わせ位置が隣り合う相互間で近側被写界深度と遠側被写界深度とが部分的にオーバーラップしていることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の監視カメラ装置。
- 前記定点撮影カメラの少なくともいずれかは、画角及び焦点距離が等しく、互いに撮影光軸の向きが異なるように配置された複数台のカメラモジュールを組み合わせて構成され、これらのカメラモジュールは前記撮影範囲を略等分割した区画エリアを個別に撮影することを特徴とする請求項4記載の監視カメラ装置。
- 前記望遠カメラが前記カメラ姿勢制御手段とともに複数台設けられ、1台または複数台の広角カメラによって複数の動体画像が撮影されたときには前記指向情報算出手段が複数の指向情報を算出し、各々の指向情報が前記複数のカメラ姿勢制御手段に個別に入力されることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか記載の監視カメラ装置。
- 請求項1〜6のいずれか記載の監視カメラ装置の複数台を、各々の広角カメラの撮像光軸が互いに異なるように設置し、これらの監視カメラ装置相互間で前記指向情報及び追尾情報を共有させたことを特徴とする監視カメラシステム。
