Abstract
【解決手段】重量平均分子量50万以上のポリオレフィンを含む第1ポリマーと、反応性の官能基を有する第2ポリマーとを含有する樹脂組成物を架橋してなる多孔性基材の細孔内に、プロトン伝導性を有した重合性の親水性モノマーである第3モノマーと、プロトン伝導性を有さない重合性の疎水性モノマーである第4モノマーとを含むモノマー組成物を充填して、共重合せしめて一体化させた電解質膜。

Description
ゲルパーミエーションクロマトグラフィ(GPC)装置を用いて、カラム温度140℃、溶離液o−ジクロロベンゼンの条件で分子量分布を測定した。
1/10000 直読ダイヤル式膜厚測定器により測定した。
1/10000 直読ダイヤル式膜厚測定器により測定した厚みを用い、フィルムの単位面積S(cm2)あたりの重さW(g)、平均厚みt(μm)、密度d(g/cm3)から下式Aにより算出した値を使用した。
空孔率(%)=(1−(104×W/S/t/d))×100 式A
充填時の重量増加率αは、電解質を充填する前の多孔性基材の乾燥重量をma、充填重合後の乾燥重量をmbとしたとき、次式Bにより算出した。

電解質膜のプロトン伝導率は、交流による測定で、通常の膜抵抗測定セルとLCRメータ(E‐4925A;ヒューレットパッカード製)を使用し、膜抵抗(Rm)の測定を行った。1M硫酸水溶液をセルに満たして、膜の有無による白金電極間(距離5mm)の抵抗を測定した。この膜抵抗Rmは、電流0〜1.0Aを流したときの、膜の有無による電圧値の差分をVm[V]、電流値をAm[A]として、次式Cにより算出した。

膜のプロトン伝導度(比伝導度)Kは、測定有効面積S[cm2」を用いて、下式Dを用いて算出した。K[Ω‐1cm−2」=1/Rm/S [Ω−1cm−2] 式D
25℃におけるメタノール透過性能をチャンバー拡散セルを用いた拡散実験により求めた。供給液は水140gと、水200gを、膜を挟み込んだL字型セル(透過膜面積8.04E−4m2)両端それぞれに入れ、膜面をなじませ、撹拌しながら25℃に安定させた。ついで60gのメタノールを水140gを入れたセルに素早く加え、投入時間を0として一定時間ごとにサンプルをサンプリングした(1mlサンプリングして、1ml水を加えて希釈による濃度補正を後で行った)。サンプリングした溶液をYanaco製ガスクロマトグラフィにて評価して各メタノール濃度を求めた。単位膜面積、単位時間あたりのメタノール重量濃度変化をメタノール透過流速として算出した。
水中及び64重量%メタノール水溶液中での耐久性を、それぞれに電解質膜を含浸し70℃に加熱した際の重量減少として測定した。所定のサンプルを約2cm角程度に裁断し、その重量を測定した。それらを、水(イオン交換水)、64重量%メタノール水溶液を入れた試験管中に浸漬して、70℃のオイルバスにて加熱した。10日後に取り出し、乾燥後の重量秤量及び外観を観察した。サンプルの電解質充填時の重量増加率α[%]、耐久性試験処理後の重量減少率β[%]から、電解質重量減少率γ[%]を、次式Eから算出した。γ=β/(α/(100+α)) 式E
ノルボルネンの開環重合体の粉末(仏国アトフィナ社製、ノーソレックスNB,重量平均分子量200万以上)3重量%、熱可塑性エラストマー(住友化学製、TPE821)16重量%、重量平均分子量150万の超高分子量ポリエチレン81重量%からなる重合体組成物15重量部と流動パラフィン85重量部とをスラリー状に均一に混合し、160℃の温度で小型ニーダーを用い約60分溶解混練した。その後これらの混練物を0℃に冷却されたロールまたは金属板に挟み込みシート状に急冷した。これらの急冷シート状樹脂を、115℃の温度でシート厚が0.45mmになるまでヒートプレスし、115℃の温度で同時に縦横4.5×4.5倍に二軸延伸し、ヘプタンを使用して脱溶媒処理を行った。その後、得られた微多孔フィルムを固定した状態で空気中にて85℃で6時間熱処理し、ついで116℃で2時間熱処理して、本発明による多孔性基材A−1を得た。多孔性基材A−1の膜厚は17μm、空孔率は42%であった。
n−プロパノールを溶剤として20℃以下に保ちながら、ビニルスルホン酸(以下、「VSA」と略記する、純度98%)36重量%、2−ビニルナフタレン9重量%、架橋剤:N,N’−メチレン−ビスアクリルアミド(以下「MBA」と略記する)5重量%になるようにそれぞれを混合した後、VSA、2−ビニルナフタレン及びMBAの合計量100mol%に対して、アゾ系開始剤V−65(和光純薬工業製)が1mol%になるよう添加して、充頃用電解質モノマー溶液を調製した。このモノマー溶液を20℃以下に保ちながら減圧操作を行い、脱気処理をした。
ノルボルネンの開環重合体の粉末(仏国アトフィナ社製、ノーソレックスNB、重量平均分子量200万以上)3重量%、熱可塑性エラストマー(住友化学製、TPE821)16重量%、重量平均分子量150万の超高分子量ポリエチレン81重量%からなる重合体組成物15重量部と流動パラフィン85重量部とをスラリー状に均一に混合し、160℃の温度で小型ニーダーを用い約60分溶解混練りした。その後これらの混練物を0℃に冷却されたロールまたは金属板に挟み込みシート状に急冷した。これらの急冷シート状樹脂を、115℃の温度でシート厚が0.45mmになるまでヒートプレスし、115℃の温度で同時に縦横4.0×4.0倍に二軸延伸し、ヘプタンを使用して脱溶媒処理を行った。その後、得られた微多孔フィルムを固定した状態で空気中にて85℃で6時間熱処理し、ついで122℃で2時間熱処理して、本発明による多孔性基材A−2を得た。多孔性基材A−2の膜厚は17μm、空孔率は28%であった。
Claims (6)
- 重量平均分子量50万以上のポリオレフィンを含む第1ポリマーと、反応性の官能基を有する第2ポリマーとを含有する樹脂組成物を架橋してなる多孔性基材の細孔内に、プロトン伝導性を有した重合性の親水性モノマーである第3モノマーと、プロトン伝導性を有さない重合性の疎水性モノマーである第4モノマーとを含むモノマー組成物を充填して、共重合せしめて一体化させた電解質膜。
- 前記第2ポリマーがポリノルボルネンゴム、またはエチレンとプロピレンとジエンモノマーとの三元共重合体である請求項1記載の電解質膜。
- 前記第3モノマーは、スルホン酸基を含む重合性モノマーである請求項1又は2に記載の電解質膜。
- 前記第3モノマーがビニルスルホン酸であり、前記第4モノマーが芳香族ビニル化合物である請求項1〜3いずれかに記載の電解質膜。
- 前記モノマー組成物が、更に二重結合を2つ以上有する架橋剤を含有する請求項1〜4いずれかに記載の電解質膜。
- 請求項1〜5いずれかに記載の電解質膜を用いてなる固体高分子型燃料電池。
