Abstract
【解決手段】排気行程がオーバラップしない気筒群毎に分けて排気を集める分割型の排気マニホールド23a,23bを設け、これら排気マニホールド23a,23bの合流部25に先細ノズル形状の流路部26a,26bを設け、その合流部25にターボ過給機12のタービン12bを接続する一方、各排気マニホールド23a,23bにそれぞれ接続するEGR通路40(分岐路40a,40b)の合流部45に先細ノズル形状の流路部44a,44bを設ける。

Claims (6)
- ターボ過給機のタービン上流からターボ過給機のコンプレッサ下流へ排気の一部を環流させるEGR通路を備える多気筒エンジンにおいて、排気行程がオーバラップしない気筒群毎に排気マニホールドを分割し、これら排気マニホールドの合流部に先細ノズル形状の流路部を設け、その合流部にターボ過給機のタービンを接続する一方、各排気マニホールドにそれぞれ接続するEGR通路の合流部に先細ノズル形状の流路部を設けたことを特徴とする多気筒エンジン。
- 各排気マニホールドは、互いに下流側を1つのフランジに結集し、フランジの接合面にそれぞれ開口し、先細ノズル形状の流路部は、その排気マニホールドの1つのフランジに結集する各下流側に設け、これらを含む合流部は、これを滑らかに延長するディフューザ部を備えたことを特徴とする請求項1に係る多気筒エンジン。
- 先細ノズル形状の流路部は、別体のスペーサとして構成したことを特徴とする請求項2に係る多気筒エンジン。
- ディフューザ部は、別体のスペーサとして構成したことを特徴とする請求項2に係る多気筒エンジン。
- EGR通路は、上流側の分岐路と下流側の合流路とからなり、分岐路をそれぞれ排気マニホールドに接続し、合流路をインタクーラ下流の吸気管に接続し、分岐路は、互いに下流側を1つのフランジに結集し、フランジの接合面にそれぞれ開口し、先細ノズル形状の流路部は、これら分岐管の1つのフランジに結集する各下流側に設けたことを特徴とする請求項1に係る多気筒エンジン。
- ターボ過給機は、可変ノズル式ターボチャージャを用いたことを特徴とする請求項1に係る多気筒エンジン。
