Abstract
【解決手段】電源は、出力がその調整値未満の間に、フィードバック信号がなければ、ある特定のスイッチング周波数で最大電力を供給する。故障時間の期間中にフィードバック信号が生じないと、故障保護回路によって平均出力電力が大幅に低減させる。フィードバック信号が生じない場合、電源は、故障時間の終了前に、スイッチング周波数を上げ、出力を調整値まで増加させることにより、最大出力電力を増加させる。出力が調整値に達する時、フィードバック信号が生じると、もとのスイッチング周波数が回復し、出力は無調整値に戻る。故障時間の終了時にフィードバック信号が生じなければ、故障保護回路が出力電力の大幅低減を行う。

Claims (10)
- 電源のエネルギ伝達素子に結合されるスイッチと、
コントローラに結合され、前記電源の出力からフィードバック信号を受信するように結合されたフィードバック回路と、
前記スイッチと前記フィードバック回路に結合され、前記電源の出力において出力電圧と出力電流の組合せを調整するために前記スイッチのスイッチングを制御するコントローラと
を含み、
前記出力電圧と出力電流の組合せが、少なくとも1つの調整出力領域と1つの無調整出力領域が存在するように出力領域に対応し、
前記コントローラが、第2のスイッチング周波数が第1のスイッチング周波数より高い第1と第2のスイッチング周波数を有する発振器を含み、
前記コントローラが、さらに、適正なフィードバック信号のない期間を測定するための故障タイマを備えた故障検出回路を含み、
前記故障検出回路が、動作の故障モードと、動作のフィードバック・チェック・モードを有し、前記動作の故障モードでは、前記フィードバック信号が故障時間より長い間生じなければ、前記電源の出力における平均電力が大幅に低減し、前記動作のフィードバック・チェック・モードでは、前記フィードバック信号が前記故障時間より短い期間にわたって生じなければ、前記スイッチング周波数が、前記第1のスイッチング周波数から前記第2のスイッチング周波数に上昇することを特徴とする、
スイッチング・レギュレータ回路。 - 前記スイッチング・レギュレータがバッテリ・チャージャに含まれることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のスイッチング・レギュレータ。
- 前記コントローラに、集積回路が含まれることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のスイッチング・レギュレータ。
- 前記コントローラに、個別電気部品が含まれることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のスイッチング・レギュレータ。
- 電源の出力から受信するフィードバック信号を測定して、前記電源の出力電力を制御するステップと、
第1の期間にわたって、適正なフィードバック信号が生じないと、無調整フィードバック・チェック・モードで前記電源を動作させるステップと、
前記第1の期間より長い第2の期間にわたって、適正なフィードバック信号が生じないと、無調整自動再始動モードで前記電源を動作させるステップと
を含む方法。 - さらに、前記無調整フィードバック・チェック・モードの間、スイッチング周波数を上げるステップが含まれることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の方法。
- さらに、前記適正なフィードバック信号が生じない時間期間を測定するステップが含まれることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の方法。
- さらに、前記電源の出力電力を増加させることによって、前記電源の動作点を無調整状態から調整電流動作点に移動させるステップが含まれることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の方法。
- さらに、前記電源の出力電力を増加させることによって、前記電源の動作点を無調整状態から調整電圧動作点に移動させるステップが含まれることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の方法。
- さらに、前記電源のスイッチング周波数に応答して、前記電源の最大出力電力を調節するステップが含まれることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の方法。
