Abstract
Description
180°剥離試験(Peel Test)(PSTC−1)
各被覆フィルムからの5個の試験片(1″×12″)をステンレススチール(SS)製パネル上に置き、4.5−1bローラーを各試験片の上を通過させた。これらの試験片の作製5分後にインストロン(Instron)試験機を用いて角度180°で12in/minの速度で引っ張った。報告値は5回の試験の平均である。
各被覆フィルムからの1″×12″試験片の端部をインストロン試験機のグリップ中に置きループを形成した(接着剤側を下に)。試験片をステンレススチール(SS)製のパネルの上に12in/minの速度で下降させ、次に同じ速度で上昇させて粘着性を測定した。報告値は5回の試験の平均値である。
1−ml被覆マイラー(Mylar)フィルムを用いて、試験片を1″×3″に切断した。1″×1″四方の接着剤試料をステンレススチールパネルの中央部に置き、4.51bローラーを用いて2回通過させた。試験片の自由端にクランプを置き幅全体に完全にクランプするようにし、そして負荷が均一に分布するように正しく配列させた。次に試験片をテストスタンドに置き、そして1000gの質量をクランプに加えた。試験片がテストパネルから完全に分離するのに要した時間を記録した。報告値は5回の試験の平均である。
コンデンサー、窒素パージ及び表面下への供給管を備えた1000mL樹脂反応がまに添加した。窒素パージを開始し、内容物を加熱し、80℃に保持した。
予備エマルジョンに剪断を与えてミニエマルジョンにしなかった以外は、例1の方法に従って粘着付与剤変性アクリルラテックスを製造した。この非剪断粘着付与剤変性アクリルラテックスの物性データを表Iにまとめた。表Iに示したように、この方法では非常に多量のスクラップが生成し、商業上受け入れられるものである。
粘着付与剤を除いた以外は、例1の方法に従ってアクリルラテックスを製造した。このアクリルラテックスの物性データを表Iにまとめた。表Iに示すように、この方法では受け入れ難い量のスクラップが生成した。
例4〜17において、例1と同様にして、しかし粘着付与剤の種類及びレベルを変えて、一連の水性組成物を製造した。
例18〜21において、一定の粘着付与剤の種類及びレベル(Eastman Chemical Companyから得られた10重量%Picco 6100炭化水素樹脂)を用いながら、モノマーの種類を変えた以外は、例1と同じ方法で一連の水性組成物を製造した。
Claims (27)
- 少なくとも一種の粘着付与剤、少なくとも一種のエチレン系不飽和モノマー、少なくとも一種の界面活性剤及び水を含む混合物を剪断させてミニエマルジョンを生成せしめ、そしてそのミニエマルジョンを、開始剤の存在下に、重合させて水性組成物を製造する水性組成物の製造方法。
- 前記粘着付与剤がロジン、ロジン誘導体、ロジンエステル、炭化水素樹脂、合成ポリテルペン及び天然テルペンからなる群から選ばれた少なくとも一種である請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記粘着付与剤が天然及び変性ロジン並びにそれらの水素化誘導体;天然及び変性ロジンのエステル並びにそれらの水素化誘導体;ポリテルペン樹脂及び水素化ポリテルペン樹脂;脂肪族石油炭化水素樹脂及びその水素化誘導体;芳香族炭化水素樹脂及びその水素化誘導体;並びに脂環族炭化水素樹脂及びその水素化誘導体からなる群から選ばれた少なくとも一種である請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記エチレン系不飽和モノマーがスチレン系モノマー、エチレン系不飽和化合物及び窒素含有化合物からなる群から選ばれた少なくとも一種である請求項1に記載の方法。

- 請求項36の水性組成物を含む接着剤。
- 感圧接着剤、被覆及び積層体を生成させるのに前記接着剤を利用する請求項17に記載の接着剤。
- 前記水性組成物を下地に被覆することによって前記接着剤を生成せしめる請求項19に記載の接着剤。
- ロール被覆、カーテン被覆、グラビヤ印刷及びスロットダイ被覆からなる群から選ばれる方法によって、前記水性組成物を前記下地に被覆する請求項21に記載の接着剤。
- 前記下地が紙、ポリオレフィンフィルム、金属、ガラス、ウレタンエラストマー、下塗りした(ペイントした)下地及びポリエステルからなる群から選ばれる請求項21に記載の接着剤。
- 後添加粘着付与分散剤、可塑剤、溶剤、脱泡剤、中和剤、保恒剤及び界面活性剤からなる群から選ばれた少なくとも一種の化合物を更に含む請求項19に記載の接着剤。
- 請求項1の水性組成物を含む被覆。
- 請求項1の水性組成物を含む積層体。
- 請求項1の水性組成物を含む物品。
