Abstract
【解決手段】自動画像診断のために、階調をもった画像、又は感光体の光導電面上に存在する残留トナーを、ラスタ走査システムにより与えられる光エネルギーを用いて走査することができる。感光体表面から反射されたものとすることができる光エネルギーは、階調をもった又は損傷した表面領域における散乱/吸収のために乱されることがある。光エネルギーを画像センサに向けて、ラスタ走査システムのために与えられるピクセル・クロック情報と併せて、感光体表面の空間画像マップを得ることができる。評価は、空間画像マップに基づいて行うことができる。次いで、診断及び維持管理を適用して、欠陥を修正する及び/又は感光体表面上に形成された潜像の階調レベルを調整することができる。

Claims (1)
- 電子写真エンジンのための画像診断システムであって、
感光表面をもつ感光体と、
前記感光表面を、空間情報を監視するための対応するピクセル・クロックと共に光により照射して、光エネルギーが前記感光表面から伝達されるようにする、少なくとも1つの光源を含むラスタ走査システムと、
前記感光体表面から伝達される前記光エネルギーを受け、前記光エネルギーを、前記感光体表面の対応する空間画像マップに変える少なくとも1つの画像センサと、
前記感光体表面の前記空間画像マップを評価し、画像欠陥が存在するかどうかを判断する画像処理システムと、
を含むことを特徴とするシステム。
