Abstract
【解決手段】 金属端子を外部に突出させて電池本体を外装材で密封したリチウム電池と、前記リチウム電池の複数個を前記金属端子を介して電気的に接続した電池群と、前記電池群を収納する外部端子を有する密封可能な外装容器とを備え、前記外装容器内に前記電池群を収納すると共に前記電池群の電気的に接続されていない前記金属端子をリード線を介して前記外部端子に接続して前記外装容器を密封した電池モジュールにおいて、前記外装容器内を大気圧より高い陽圧状態に保持したことを特徴とする電池モジュール。

図1は本発明にかかる電池モジュールの一実施例を概略的に示す斜視図、図2は本発明にかかる電池群の一実施例を図解的に示す斜視図、図3は本発明にかかる電池モジュールに用いる外装容器の内部構造の一実施例を示す要部斜視図、図4はリチウム電池の形態の一実施例を説明する図、図5はリチウム電池の形態の他の実施例を説明する図であり、図中の1は電池モジュール、2は電池群、10は外装容器、11は外部端子、12は注入口、13は区画壁、20,Dはリチウム電池、21は接続具、22はリード線、101は底壁、102は側壁、T,tは金属端子、Aは外装材、Sは周縁熱接着部をそれぞれ示す。

Claims (6)
- 少なくとも正極および負極を備えた電池本体と、前記正極および負極の各々に接続された金属端子と、少なくともアルミニウム箔と最内層に熱可塑性樹脂層とを備えた前記電池本体を包装する外装材とからなり、前記金属端子を外部に突出させて前記電池本体を前記外装材で密封したリチウム電池と、前記リチウム電池の複数個を前記金属端子を介して電気的に接続した電池群と、前記電池群を収納する外部端子を有する密封可能な外装容器とを備え、前記外装容器内に前記電池群を収納すると共に前記電池群の電気的に接続されていない前記金属端子をリード線を介して前記外部端子に接続して前記外装容器を密封した電池モジュールにおいて、前記外装容器内を大気圧より高い陽圧状態に保持したことを特徴とする電池モジュール。
- 前記陽圧状態が不活性ガスにより達成されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記外装容器が耐圧容器であることを特徴とする請求項1、2のいずれかに記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記外装容器の外面に放熱フィンが設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記外装容器の内面に前記リチウム電池を起立させた状態でそれぞれ保持すると共に区画する区画壁が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記リチウム電池に内圧上昇時にガスを外部に逃がすガス放出手段が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の電池モジュール。
