Abstract
【解決手段】 (A)ガスクロマトグラフ法による5容量%留出温度が330℃以上、引火点200℃以上、40℃動粘度が15mm2/s以上40mm2/s以下の基油に、(B)重量平均分子量(Mw)が30,000以上800,000以下であるポリメタクリレート系粘度指数向上剤、必要に応じて(C)無灰型分散剤とを含有する自動変速機用潤滑油組成物にする。

Description
すなわち、本発明は、(A)ガスクロマトグラフ法による5容量%留出温度が330℃以上、引火点200℃以上、40℃動粘度が15mm2/s以上40mm2/s以下の基油に、(B)重量平均分子量(Mw)が30,000以上800,000以下であるポリメタクリレート系粘度指数向上剤を含有することを特徴とする自動変速機用潤滑油組成物を提供するものである。
K2254(ガスクロマトグラフ法)に従い測定されるものである。5容量%留出温度が330℃以上とすることで、目的とする蒸発性を得ることができ、また、550℃以下とすることで、自動変速機内部品例えば油圧作動部等への流体抵抗が大きくなりすぎることが避けられる。(A)成分のGC法による5容量%留出温度は、好ましくは335℃以上500℃以下であり、より好ましくは340℃以上450℃以下であり、さらに好ましくは345℃以上400℃以下である。
基油の流動点については特に限定はないが、流動点−30.0℃以下の基油は、より良好な低温流動性を与えることができ、特に流動点−32.5℃以下の基油がさらに良好な低温流動性を与えることができるが、本発明においては、流動点が−30.0℃を超える基油であっても、特に流動点が−27.5℃を超える基油であっても、良好な低温流動特を発揮することができる。なお、調整し易さという点からは、基油の流動点は、−10.0℃以下が好ましく、より好ましくは−12.5℃以下であり、さらに好ましくは−15.0℃以下であり、最も好ましくは−17.5℃以下である。
無灰型分散剤の分子量は、好ましくは2,000以上18,000以下であり、より好ましくは2,500以上16,000以下であり、さらに好ましくは2,800以上15,000以下である。
無灰型分散剤は1種類を用いてもよいし、2種類以上を組み合わせて用いても良い。
本発明の自動変速機用潤滑油組成物は、優れた低温粘度特性を有する。低温粘度特性とは、低温流動性、低温始動性、低温時の油圧作動性等の性能を示す。低温粘度特性は、具体的には、例えば、−40℃でのBF粘度により評価できる。−40℃でのBF粘度は、好ましくは22,000mPa・s以下であり、特に好ましくは20,000mPa・s以下である。
下記の基油及び添加剤を、表1に示された配合量で混合して自動変速機用潤滑油組成物を調製した。得られた自動変速機用潤滑油組成物の性能特性を表1に示す。
基油A:高度精製鉱油系基油で100℃粘度が3cStのもの
基油B:高度精製鉱油系基油で100℃粘度が4cStのもの
基油C:高度精製鉱油系基油で100℃粘度が6cStのもの
基油D:水素化精製パラフィン系鉱油系基油で100℃粘度が3cStのもの
基油E:水素化精製パラフィン系鉱油系基油で100℃粘度が4cStのもの
添加剤F:自動変速機油用パッケージ添加剤(1)(実質的に粘度指数向上剤と無灰型分散剤を含有しない)
添加剤G:自動変速機油用パッケージ添加剤(2)(実質的に粘度指数向上剤と無灰型分散剤を含有しない)
添加剤H:重量平均分子量(Mw)が170,000である式(1)のPMAと式(2)のPMAの混合物を主成分とするPMA系粘度指数向上剤
添加剤I:重量平均分子量(Mw)が100,000である式(1)のPMAと式(2)のPMAの混合物を主成分とするPMA系粘度指数向上剤
添加剤J:重量平均分子量(Mw)が20,000である式(1)のPMAと式(2)のPMAの混合物を主成分とするPMA系粘度指数向上剤
添加剤K:重量平均分子量(Mw)が1,000,000である式(1)のPMAと式(2)のPMAの混合物を主成分とするPMA系粘度指数向上剤
添加剤L:重量平均分子量(Mw)が120,000であるオレフィンコポリマー(OCP)系粘度指数向上剤
添加剤M:重量平均分子量(Mw)が5,100であるホウ素含有型ポリアルケニルコハク酸イミド(無灰型分散剤)
添加剤N:重量平均分子量(Mw)が6,200であるホウ素非含有型ポリアルケニルコハク酸イミド(無灰型分散剤)
また、表1における5容量%留出温度はJIS K2254(ガスクロマトグラフ法)に準拠し、また引火点はJIS K2265に準拠し測定した。また、蒸発性試験およびブルックフィールド(BF)粘度は以下に示す方法で評価した。
(2)BF粘度:ASTM D 2983−80に準拠し、−40℃で測定し、判断基準を20,000mPa・s以下とした。
表2に示された基油及び添加剤を、表2に示された配合量で混合して自動変速機用潤滑油組成物を調製した。得られた自動変速機用潤滑油組成物の性能特性を表2に示す。
Claims (2)
- (A)ガスクロマトグラフ法による5容量%留出温度が330℃以上、引火点200℃以上、40℃動粘度が15mm2/s以上40mm2/s以下の基油に、(B)重量平均分子量(Mw)が30,000以上800,000以下であるポリメタクリレート系粘度指数向上剤を含有することを特徴とする自動変速機用潤滑油組成物。
- (A)ガスクロマトグラフ法による5容量%留出温度が330℃以上、引火点200℃以上、40℃動粘度が15mm2/s以上40mm2/s以下の基油に、(B)重量平均分子量(Mw)が30,000以上800,000以下であるポリメタクリレート系粘度指数向上剤と、(C)無灰型分散剤とを含有することを特徴とする自動変速機用潤滑油組成物。
