Abstract
【解決手段】 絶縁性を有するプリント基板1の上面に発光ダイオード2(LED)を実装し、LED2の側面周囲を枠部材3で囲み、LED2に対向して、枠部材3の上面に拡散板4を配設した直下型のLCDバックライトで、プリント基板1上のLED実装領域を除く所定の位置に貫通穴5を形成した後、貫通穴5を塞ぐように、LED実装領域を除く全面に反射シート6を貼付する。LED2の光の利用効率を向上させると同時に、プリント基板1は貫通穴5をくり抜いた分軽くなり、装置の軽量化に役立つ。大型ディスプレイに顕著な効果がある。また、放熱特性向上も期待できる。

Claims (2)
- 絶縁性を有するプリント基板の上面に発光ダイオード(LED)を実装し、前記LEDの側面周囲を枠部材で囲み、LEDに対向して、前記枠部材の上面に拡散板を配設した直下型のLCDバックライトにおいて、前記プリント基板上のLED実装領域を除く所定の位置に貫通穴を形成した後、前記プリント基板の上面側で前記貫通穴を塞ぐように、LED実装領域を除く全面に反射シートを貼付したことを特徴とする発光ダイオードを用いたLCDバックライト。
- 前記プリント基板上に実装させたLEDは複数個を均一に配設し、前記貫通穴は、前記複数個配設したLEDの実装領域を除いた領域に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の発光ダイオードを用いたLCDバックライト。
