Abstract
【解決手段】複数の画素で構成された画素アレイ部301は、少なくとも2つの相互に隣接した画素群に区分される。第1の画素群3011は、第1の走査駆動部303によって選択され、第2の画素群3013は、第2の走査駆動部305によって選択される。第1の画素群3011を選択するための走査線は、第1の画素群3011の内部に延び、第2の画素群3013を選択するための走査線は第2の画素群3013内部に延びる。したがって、一つの走査線の長さは半分に減少され、走査線が持つインピーダンスは低減される。インピーダンスの減少によって走査信号の遅延や歪み現象は防止される。

Claims (16)
- 複数の画素を有し、相互に隣接した少なくとも2つの画素群により構成された画素アレイ部と、
第1の走査線を介して、第1の走査信号を前記画素アレイ部の前記2つの画素群のうち第1の画素群に印加するための第1の走査駆動部と、
第2の走査線を介して、第2の走査信号を前記画素アレイ部の前記2つの画素群のうち第1の画素群に隣接した第2の画素群に印加するための第2の走査駆動部と、
前記第1の走査信号または前記第2の走査信号によって、選択された前記画素アレイ部の画素にデータ信号を印加するためのデータ駆動部と、
を含むことを特徴とする有機エレクトロルミネッセンス装置。 - 前記第1の走査駆動部は、前記画素アレイ部に発光制御信号を供給することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス装置。
- 前記第1の走査信号の印加は、第2の走査信号の印加と同時に行われることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス装置。
- 前記データ駆動部は、
前記第1の画素群にデータ信号を印加するための第1のデータ駆動部と、
前記第2の画素群にデータ信号を印加するための第2のデータ駆動部と、
を有することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス装置。 - 前記第1の画素群は、前記画素アレイ部が半分に分割されていることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス装置。
- 前記第2の画素群は、前記画素アレイ部の中心線を基準とし、前記第1の画素群と対向する位置に設けられることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス装置。
- 前記画素アレイ部のそれぞれの画素は、輝度データの書き込みを電流で行う電流書込み型であることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス装置。
- 前記画素アレイ部のそれぞれの画素は、輝度データの書き込みを電圧で行う電圧書込み型であることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス装置。
- 第1の走査線を介して、第1の画素群の第1行を選択する段階と、
第2の走査線を介して、第1の画素群に隣接した第2の画素群の第1行を選択する段階と、
前記第1の画素群の第1行の画素及び第2の画素群の第1行の画素に対して、データ信号を印加する段階と、
前記第1行に配置された画素の選択を解除する段階と、
前記第1行に配置された画素を発光させる段階と、
を含む有機エレクトロルミネッセンス装置の動作方法。 - 前記第1の画素群の第1行を選択する段階、及び前記第2の画素群の第1行を選択する段階は同時に行われることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス装置の動作方法。
- 前記第1の画素群の第1行を選択する段階は、
前記第1の画素群の第1行及び前記第2の画素群の第1行に配置された画素の発光を遮断する段階と、
前記第1の画素群の第1行に走査信号を印加する段階と、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス装置の動作方法。 - 前記第2の画素群の第1行を選択する段階は、
前記第1の画素群の第1行及び前記第2の画素群の第1行に配置された画素の発光を遮断する段階と、
前記第2の画素群の第1行に走査信号を印加する段階と、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項11に記載の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス装置の動作方法。 - 前記選択された画素に対するデータ信号の印加、及び発光動作は、最終行に配置された画素に至るまで順次行われる順次走査方式によることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス装置の動作方法。
- 前記選択された画素に対するデータ信号の印加、及び発光動作は、1フレームの1/2周期の間、奇数行に配置された画素に対して行われ、前記1フレームの残りの1/2周期の間、偶数行に配置された画素に対して行われる飛越走査方式によることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス装置の動作方法。
- 前記データ信号を印加する段階は、選択された画素に電圧信号を印加することを特徴とする請求項12に記載の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス装置の動作方法。
- 前記データ信号を印加する段階は、選択された画素に電流信号を印加することを特徴とする請求項12に記載の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス装置の動作方法。
