Abstract

Claims (3)
- ビレットを連続圧延して異なるサイズの最終製品とする方法であって、
前記ビレットを圧延して、中間ウエブで結合された少なくとも第1および第2のセグメントを有し、前記第2のセグメントの断面積が前記第1のセグメントの断面積よりも大きい第1のプロセスセクションとする工程と、
前記ウエブをスリッティングし、前記第1および第2のセグメントを分離する工程と、
このようにして分離した前記第1および第2のセグメントを同時に圧延して、異なる断面積を有する最終製品とする工程と、
を含む方法。 - 前記第1および第2のセグメントうちの1つを圧延して、第2の中間ウエブにより結合された等しい断面積の第3のセグメントを有する第2のプロセスセクションとする工程と、
前記第2の中間ウエブをスリッティングし、前記第3のセグメントを分離する工程と、
このようにして分離した前記第3のセグメントを圧延して前記最終製品とする工程と、
を含む、請求項1記載の方法。 - 第1のパスライン上で、前記ビレットを圧延して、前記第1のプロセスセクションとし、
別個の第2および第3のパスライン上で、前記分離した第1および第2のセグメントを同時に圧延して前記最終製品とする、請求項1記載の方法。
