Abstract
Description
(技術分野)
本発明は概してプロトコルに関し、特に全地球的測位信号の取得に関する。
全地球的測位衛星(GPS;Global Positioning Satellite)システムは、地球上11,000 海里の軌道を周回する 24 個の衛星と軌道上の予備衛星からなるネットワークを備えた衛星基準の航法システムである。このシステムの各衛星は24時間周期で地球を周回する。
幅広く概念化すると、本発明は既知の方法にくらべ、迅速にGPS受信機の位置を確認する手法である。GPS受信機は少なくとも4つのGPS衛星からいくつかのGPS信号を受信し、その距離についての符号周期の不明確さを解決して、各衛星から現在受信されている符号位相を特定することによって、4つの衛星のそれぞれについて擬似距離(全ての計測に共通する偏り誤差を含む距離計測)を特定する。擬似距離と送信しているGPS衛星のそれぞれの位置とを用いて、GPS受信機は擬似航法方程式を解き、受信機の位置とローカルな時刻基準のクロック誤差を一度に求めることによって、自己の位置の座標を特定する。それゆえGPS受信機は、常に電力をオンにすることによる電力消費の不利益を取り除きながら、従来の手法に比べ短い時間でGPS受信機の位置を解くことが可能である。
図1には、単一の衛星102と単一のGPS受信機104を備える全地球的測位衛星(GPS;global positioning satellite)システム100が図示されている。衛星102はGPS受信機104と、無線周波数(RF;radio frequency)GPS信号106を介して通信する。RF GPS信号106は、アンテナ108でGPS受信機104によって受信される。4つの衛星(図では1つのみが示されている)と通信をして、GPS受信機104は位置と時刻を算出する。GPS受信機104は、例えば、緯度112、経度114、高度および時刻を表示する。

Rは前もって推定される衛星から受信機までの距離であり、
cは光速(299792458 m/s)であり、
Ckは時刻Tにおいて衛星によって送信されるチップであり、
Cjは時刻T+dTにおいて受信機で受信されるチップであり、
CHjは時刻Tにおいて受信機で予期されるチップであり、
Lchipは1チップ時間における信号伝播距離(c/1.023e6=293.0522561 m)である。

Claims (15)
- 各擬似雑音符号が複数のGPS送信機から発せられる、複数の擬似雑音符号を備える信号を受信する受信機と、
GPS時刻に対して 0.5 msに満たない誤差を備えるクロックと、
前記複数のGPS送信機の少なくとも4つのGPS送信機に対して4つの擬似距離方程式を識別し、前記4つの擬似距離方程式を一度に解くことによって受信機の位置を特定する、前記受信機と前記クロックに接続された復元装置と、
を備えることを特徴とする装置。 - 複数のチップが前記複数の擬似雑音符号の各擬似雑音符号を構成し、その複数のチップは擬似雑音符号の境界より前の 511 チップから前記擬似雑音符号の境界より後の 512 チップまでの間でオフセットしている
ことを特徴とする請求項1の装置。 - 受信機の位置を特定した上で識別され修正される前記クロックの時刻誤差が修正されることを特徴とする請求項1の装置。
- 前記クロックの水晶に取付けられ、その水晶の熱計測を実施し、その熱計測結果を前記復元装置へ報告し、その復元装置がその熱計測結果に応じてそのクロックの読みを修正することを可能とする温度センサ
をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1の装置。 - 複数のGPS送信機で生成される信号を受信機で受信する工程と、
受信機で前記信号の少なくとも4つの擬似雑音符号を識別する工程と、
GPS時刻に対して 0.5 msに満たない誤差を備えるクロックを用いて時刻を算出する工程と、
少なくとも4つの擬似雑音符号のそれぞれから、少なくとも4つの擬似距離方程式を得る工程と、
前記少なくとも4つの擬似距離方程式を解くことで前記受信機の位置を特定する工程と、
を備える方法。 - 複数のGPS送信機で生成される信号を受信機で受信する手段と、
受信機で前記信号の少なくとも4つの擬似雑音符号を識別する手段と、
GPS時刻に対して 0.5 msに満たない誤差を備えるクロックを用いて時刻を算出する手段と、
少なくとも4つの擬似雑音符号のそれぞれから少なくとも4つの擬似距離方程式を得る手段と、
前記少なくとも4つの擬似距離方程式を一度に解くことによって受信機の位置を特定する手段と、
を備える装置。 - 高速衛星取得の方法をコントローラに実施させる指示を備える、機械で読取り可能な信号を記憶するメディアであって、その方法は
複数のGPS送信機で生成される信号を受信機で受信する工程と、
受信機で前記信号の少なくとも4つの擬似雑音符号を識別する工程と、
GPS時刻に対して 0.5 msに満たない誤差を備えるクロックを用いて時刻を算出する工程と、
少なくとも4つの擬似雑音符号のそれぞれから、少なくとも4つの擬似距離方程式を得る工程と、
前記少なくとも4つの擬似距離方程式を一度に解くことで受信機の位置を特定する工程と、
を備えることを特徴とするメディア。
