Abstract
Description
Claims (32)
- 遠位及び近位の端部、軸部並びに外表面を有する細長部材と、
上記軸部に沿って伸長する内部空洞と、
上記細長部材に形成され、上記内部空洞と上記外表面との間で伸長する複数の注入穴とを含んでいる撮像装置。 - 上記複数の注入穴の直径が、上記外表面から上記内部空洞に向かってテーパ状となっている、請求項1に記載の撮像装置。
- 上記複数の注入穴の直径が、上記外表面から上記内部空洞に向かって、先細りのテーパ状となっている、請求項1に記載の撮像装置。
- 上記複数の注入穴が、上記細長部材の近位の端部に向かって外側を向くように角度がつけられている、請求項3に記載の撮像装置。
- 上記複数の注入穴が、上記細長部材の近位の端部に向かって外側を向くように角度がつけられている、請求項1に記載の撮像装置。
- 上記複数の注入穴が、血液流に液体を、血液流の流れ方向とは反対向きの方向に注入するようになっている、請求項1に記載の撮像装置。
- さらに、撮像エネルギに対して透明であり、撮像エネルギが上記複数の注入穴に対して遠位側に位置する撮像領域に伝達するのを可能にする窓部を含んでいる、請求項6に記載の撮像装置。
- さらに、上記細長部材の遠位の端部に結合された先端部を含み、該先端部が、ガイドワイヤを受け入れるようになっている、請求項1に記載の撮像装置。
- 上記複数の注入穴が、ほぼ0.040ミリメートルから0.30ミリメートルまでの範囲内の直径を有する、請求項1に記載の撮像装置。
- 上記複数の注入穴が、互いに、ほぼ0.10ミリメートルから0.90ミリメートルまでの範囲の距離を隔てている、請求項1に記載の撮像装置。
- 上記複数の注入穴が複数列で配置されている、請求項1に記載の撮像装置。
- 血清の屈折率が大きくなるように、液体を血液流に注入することができるようになっている、請求項1に記載の撮像装置。
- 上記液体が食塩水である、請求項12に記載の撮像装置。
- 上記液体が、デキストラン(商標)である、請求項12に記載の撮像装置。
- 該撮像装置がカテーテルである、請求項1に記載の撮像装置。
- 該撮像装置が撮像ガイドワイヤである、請求項1に記載の撮像装置。

- さらに、血管を取り扱うための手段を含んでいる、請求項1に記載の撮像装置。
- 遠位及び近位の端部並びに外表面を有する細長部材と、
上記細長部材内で該細長部材に沿って伸長する内部空洞と、
上記細長部材の上記内部空洞と上記外表面との間で伸長する複数の穴と、
上記細長部材の近位の端部と結合され、液体が上記細長部材の上記内部空洞内に注入されるのを可能にするようになっているサイドアームアダプタと、
上記サイドアームアダプタと結合されたコネクタアセンブリとを含んでいるカテーテルアセンブリ。 - 撮像コアアセンブリを含んでいる、請求項21に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
- 光ファイバレセプタクルに結合されるようになっている、請求項21に記載のカテーテルアセンブリ。
- 流れ方向を有している身体の血管の血液流内で撮像装置を操作する方法であって、
中心軸部及び外表面を伴った細長部材と、上記中心軸部に沿って伸長する内部空洞と、上記細長部材に形成され上記内部空洞と上記外表面との間で伸長する複数の注入穴とを有する撮像装置を、身体の血管内に挿入する過程と、
上記撮像装置に液体を導入する過程と、
上記撮像装置の注入穴を通して、上記液体を血管の血液流に注入する過程とを含んでいる方法。 - 上記液体が半透明である、請求項24に記載の方法。
- 上記液体が食塩水である、請求項24に記載の方法。
- 上記液体がデキストラン(商標)である、請求項24に記載の方法。
- 上記液体がフルオロゾール(商標)である、請求項24に記載の方法。
- 上記液体が、血清の屈折率よりも大きい屈折率を有する、請求項24に記載の方法。
- 上記液体の注入が、血管内の血液流内での血清の屈折率を大きくする、請求項24に記載の方法。
- 上記液体の注入が、血液流内での血清の屈折率をほぼ1.40まで大きくする、請求項24に記載の方法。
- 血液流に、上記液体が、血液流の流れ方向と反対の方向に注入される、請求項24に記載の方法。
