Claims (10)

  1. 多重エネルギー・コンピュータ断層(MECT)システムであって、
    被検体と交差するX線を送出するように構成された少なくとも1つの放射線源と、
    前記X線を検出するように構成された少なくとも1つの検出器と、
    前記検出器と結合させた制御装置と、
    該MECTシステムにプラークの成分を検出するように指令するように構成されたコンピュータと、
    を備え
    前記コンピュータは更に、
    少なくとも1つの模擬ファントームを用いたルックアップ・テーブルの作成することと、
    炎症性プラークに温度感受性造影剤を投与するようにユーザに指令した後に、前記プラークの成分の検出を反復すること、
    を実行するように構成されている、MECTシステム。
  2. 記ルックアップ・テーブルは様々なエネルギー・スペクトルに関して前記ファントームの選択された素地の様々な密度を投影データにマッピングしており、
    前記コンピュータは、前記ルックアップ・テーブルを用いることによるプラークの成分の取得と、
    を実行するように構成されている、請求項に記載のMECTシステム。
  3. ルックアップ・テーブルを作成するために前記コンピュータは、
    既知の材料特性の組を備えたファントームの第1組及び第2組の密度分布画像を、
    該MECTシステムのスキャン範囲内での前記ファントームの配置のシミュレーション、及び
    該MECTシステムを用いた第1及び第2のエネルギー・レベルでの前記ファントームのスキャンのシミュレーション、
    によって取得するように構成されている、請求項に記載のMECTシステム。
  4. プラークの成分を取得するために前記コンピュータは、
    該MECTシステムのスキャン範囲内に被検体を配置させるように該MECTシステムに指令すること、
    前記被検体の投影データを取得するために、前記第1及び第2のエネルギー・レベルで前記被検体をスキャンするように該MECTシステムに指令すること、
    前記ルックアップ・テーブルから、前記被検体の投影データを、ヨウ素と水のうちの少なくとも一方を含む前記選択した素地の密度に逆マッピングすることによって、前記被検体の密度を決定すること、
    を実行するように構成されている、請求項に記載のMECTシステム。
  5. 前記コンピュータは、
    プラークの脂質親和体、プラークのプラーク特異的抗原、及びプラークのプラーク細胞のうちの少なくとも1つに造影剤を投与するようにユーザに指令すること、
    前記プラークの成分の検出を反復すること、
    を実行するように構成されている、請求項に記載のMECTシステム。
  6. 前記コンピュータは、
    炎症性プラークに温度感受性造影剤を投与するようにユーザに指令すること
    を実行するように構成されている、請求項に記載のMECTシステム。
  7. 前記コンピュータはプラークの成分を定量化するように構成されている、請求項に記載のMECTシステム。
  8. プラークの成分を定量化するために前記コンピュータは、
    前記プラークの組成分布を計算すること、
    総プラーク負荷を計算すること、
    を実行するように構成されている、請求項に記載のMECTシステム。
  9. 前記コンピュータは、
    前記被検体のある臓器の壁上にあるプラークの成分に関する2次元(2D)画像と3次元(3D)画像の少なくとも一方を表示するように表示デバイスに指令すること、
    3D画像で前記プラークのボリュームをある観察点から観察することを可能にさせること、
    を実行するように構成されている、請求項に記載のMECTシステム。
  10. 前記コンピュータは、
    金属製のステント及び弁のうちの少なくとも1つを有する被検体の画像の品質を、前記画像内のビーム硬化アーチファクトを除去することによって改善させること、
    プラークの成分を検出する前記工程を反復することによって、金属製ステントのうちの少なくとも1つの内部にある再狭窄を描出可能にさせること、
    を実行するように構成されている、請求項に記載のMECTシステム。
