上表に記載の結果に基づき、最適の圧縮/密度パラメーターは10,000lbs.の圧縮圧、1.196gm/mcの密度、3.32の圧縮比率、及び688.71kg/cm2の領域圧縮圧であることが分かる。
Dimilin 5.56グラム
Solka Floc顆粒 94.44グラム
直径約5.715cm(2.25インチ)の押型を有するカーバープレスを使い、20,000lbs.の錠剤化圧力で40グラムのスラグ状錠剤をつくった。次に手動製粉器で「スラグ」を顆粒に粉砕した。顆粒を12/20及び20/45メッシュの大きさに変えた。余分は12メッシュの篩に通してすりこぎを使って手で粉にした。次に20/45メッシュの顆粒を、カーバープレスを使い10,000の錠剤化圧力で5グラムの直径約3.175cm(1.25インチ)の錠剤にした。
Claims (24)
- 精製セルロース及び微結晶セルロースから成る群から選択されたセルロース材料を基本的毒餌として含む、シロアリの監視と抑制とに用いるための圧縮した形状の組成物において、前記組成物はおよそ1.033g/cc以上の最適密度に圧縮されることを特徴とする組成物。
- 前記組成物は錠剤の形状をなすことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記セルロース材料は精製されたセルロースであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記セルロース材料は微結晶セルロースであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の組成物。
- さらにシロアリを殺害あるいは抑制するための有効成分を含有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の組成物。
- さらにシロアリの誘引物質及び/またはフェロモンを含有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記錠剤はおよそ1.033g/ccと1.377g/ccとの間の密度に圧縮されていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物は錠剤、練炭状及び被押出し形状から成る群から選択された圧縮形状をなすことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の組成物。
- シロアリの侵入を監視し抑制する方法において、以下のステップを含むことを特徴とする方法:
(a)精製セルロース及び微結晶セルロースから成る群から選択されたセルロース材料を含み、およそ1.033g/cc以上の最適密度に圧縮される圧縮形状の組成物を製造するステップ、
(b)前記組成物を餌場所に設置するステップ、
(c)シロアリに関し前記場所を一定の時間間隔で監視するステップ、
(d)前記餌場所へのシロアリの侵入を観察すると、前記餌場所の組成物を、殺シロアリ剤を含有する毒餌組成物と取り替えるステップ。 - 前記組成物は錠剤の形状をなすことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記セルロース材料は精製されたセルロースであることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記セルロース材料は微結晶セルロースであることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記組成物はさらにシロアリの誘引物質及び/またはフェロモンを含有することを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記殺シロアリ剤はキチン質合成抑制剤、幼虫ホルモン模造物質、胃の毒物、接触殺虫剤及びこれらの混合物から成る群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記錠剤はおよそ1.033g/ccと1.377g/ccとの間の密度に圧縮されていることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記組成物は錠剤、練炭状及び被押出し形状から成る群から選択された圧縮形状を成すことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記圧縮形状の組成物は、およそ516と1377kg/cm2との間の錠剤化圧力を加えて製造される錠剤の形状を成すことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記合成抑制剤はヘキサフルムロン(hexaflumuron)、フルフェノクスロン(flufenoxuron)、ルフェヌロン(lufenuron)及びジミリン(dimilin)から成る群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記合成抑制剤はジミリン(dimilin)であることを特徴とする請求項18に記載の方法。
- シロアリの侵入を抑制する方法において、以下のステップを含むことを特徴とする方法:
(a)精製セルロース及び微結晶セルロースから成る群から選択されたセルロース材料と、殺シロアリ剤とを含み、1.033g/cc以上の最適密度に圧縮される圧縮した形状の組成物を製造するステップ、
(b)前記組成物を餌場所に設置するステップ。 - 前記組成物は錠剤の形状を成すことを特徴とする請求項20に記載の方法。
- 前記セルロース材料は精製されたセルロースであることを特徴とする請求項20に記載の方法。
- 前記セルロース材料は微結晶セルロースであることを特徴とする請求項20に記載の方法。
- 前記殺シロアリ剤はジミリン(dimilin)であることを特徴とする請求項20に記載の方法。
