Abstract
Description
(a)1種以上の次の二酸(またはそれらの誘導体)、すなわちコハク酸、アジピン酸、1,12−ジカルボキシドデカン、フマル酸、およびマレイン酸と、
(b)1種以上の次のジオール、すなわちエチレングリコール、ポリエチレングリコール、1,2−プロパンジオール、1,3−プロパンジオール、1,2−ブタンジオール、1,3−ブタンジオール、1,4−ブタンジオール、1,6−ヘキサンジオール、ジエチレングリコール、およびポリプロピレングリコールと、
(c)任意に少量の、すなわち0.5〜7.0モル%の、グリセロール、ネオペンチルグリコール、およびペンタエリスリトールのような3個以上の官能性のポリオールと
から誘導されたホモ−およびコポリマーが挙げられる。

ダイ:390°F(199℃)
ポリラクチドフィルムを183°F(84℃)で4.5の延伸比に延伸し、第2段階において261°F(127℃)のロール温度で8.5の総延伸比に延伸した。ミクロフィブリル化に先立って、高度に延伸したフィルムは、一軸方向に手により引き裂くことができた。1700psi(11.7MPa)の運転圧で単一ヘッドの水流交絡法を用いた機器(インチ当たり51穴、110μm穴サイズ)を用いて10フィート/分(3.05m/分)で側面当たり3回フィルムを通過させると、複数の微細繊維付き不織テープが生じた。
ポリラクチドフィルムを180°F(82℃)で4の延伸比に延伸し、264°F(129℃)で8の総延伸比への第2段階延伸がそれに続いた。生じたミクロフィブリルフィルムを、水ジェットの下に非常にきめの粗いステンレススチール支持体と同時に1800psi(12.4MPa)の運転(水)圧を用いた以外は実施例1におけるように処理した。最終ミクロフィブリル化物品は、房状の3次元表面を有した。
ミクロフィブリル化フィルムを、8.5の総延伸比で(274°F(134.4℃)の第2段階延伸温度)先に記載した(183°F(84℃)で5の第1延伸比)ような2段階延伸法を用いることによって調製した。材料を、1600psi(11.0MPa)で側面当たり4通過を用いて実施例1におけるようにミクロフィブリル化すると、2つのミクロフィブリル化表面を有するミクロフィブリル化物品が生じた。
Claims (47)
- 20μm未満の平均有効径と1.5:1〜20:1の横のアスペクト比とを有する脂肪族ポリエステル微細繊維。
- 3:1〜9:1の横のアスペクト比を有する請求項1に記載の微細繊維。
- 0.05μm2〜3.0μm2の横断面積を有する請求項1に記載の微細繊維。
- 0.1μm2〜2.0μm2の横断面積を有する請求項1に記載の微細繊維。
- 0.01μm〜10μmの平均有効径を有する請求項1に記載の微細繊維。
- 少なくとも0.25m2/グラムの表面積を有する請求項1に記載の微細繊維。
- 単位ミクロフィブリルの束を含む請求項1に記載の微細繊維。
- 前記脂肪族ポリエステルがポリ(ヒドロキシアルカン酸)のホモ−およびコポリマーを含む請求項1に記載の微細繊維。
- 前記脂肪族ポリエステルが1種以上のアルカンジールと1種以上のアルカンジカルボン酸との反応生成物から誘導される請求項1に記載の微細繊維。
- 前記脂肪族ポリエステルが、ポリブチレンスクシナートホモポリマー、ポリブチレンアジパートホモポリマー、ポリブチレンアジパート−スクシナートコポリマー、ポリエチレンスクシナート−アジパートコポリマー、およびポリエチレンアジパートホモポリマーから選択される請求項9に記載の微細繊維。
- 前記ポリ(ヒドロキシアルカン酸)が、ポリラクチド、ポリジオキサノン、ポリカプロラクトン、ポリ(3−ヒドロキシ酪酸塩)、ポリ(3−ヒドロキシ吉草酸)、ポリグリコリドおよびポリ(オキシエチレングリコラート)からなる群から選択される請求項8に記載の微細繊維。
- 0.01μm〜5μmの平均有効径を有する請求項1に記載の微細繊維。
- 2種以上の脂肪族ポリエステルのブレンドを含む請求項1に記載の微細繊維。
- 前記微細繊維が生体吸収性である、請求項1に記載の微細繊維。
- 前記微細繊維が生分解性である、請求項1に記載の微細繊維。
- ミクロフィブリル化物品を調製する方法であって、
(a)脂肪族ポリエステルフィルムを提供する工程と、
(b)前記フィルムを延伸してそれにミクロボイド化およびミクロフィブリルのモルフォロジを与える工程と、
(c)それに十分な流体エネルギーを与えることによって前記フィルムをミクロフィブリル化する工程と
を含む方法。 - 流体エネルギーが高圧流体で与えられる請求項16に記載の方法。
- ミクロフィブリル化の前記工程が、流体中に浸漬されている間ずっとキャビテーションエネルギーに前記フィルムをさらすことを含む請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記キャビテーションエネルギーが超音波キャビテーションエネルギーである請求項16に記載の方法。
- ミクロフィブリル化の前記工程が1つ以上の高圧流体ジェットに前記フィルムを接触させることを含む請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記流体が水である請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記高度に延伸されたポリエステルフィルムが
(a)溶融加工可能な脂肪族ポリエステルを押し出す工程と、
(b)実質的に非晶質のフィルムを形成するように前記ポリエステルをキャストする工程と
によって調製される請求項16に記載の方法。 - 前記延伸が、前記フィルムに応力を課し、前記課された応力に順応する前記フィルムの能力を超える塑性流動の条件下に行われる請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリマーが、6:1よりも大きい総延伸比で延伸されて複数のミクロボイドを有する高度に延伸されたフィルムを作り出す請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記脂肪族ポリエステルがポリ(ヒドロキシアルカン酸)のホモ−またはコポリマーである請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記脂肪族ポリエステルが、1種以上のアルカンジオールと1種以上のアルカンジカルボン酸との反応生成物から誘導される請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリ(ヒドロキシアルカン酸)が、ポリラクチド、ポリジオキサノン、ポリカプロラクトン、ポリ(3−ヒドロキシ酪酸塩)、ポリ(3−ヒドロキシ吉草酸)、ポリグリコリドおよびポリ(オキシエチレングリコラート)からなる群から選択される請求項25に記載の方法。
- 前記フィルムが実質的に非晶質である請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記脂肪族ポリエステルフィルムが脂肪族ポリエステルのブレンドを含む請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記脂肪族ポリエステルフィルムがフィルム中に分散されたボイド開始粒子を含む請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記ボイド開始粒子が、1〜10μmの平均粒子サイズを有する有機または無機固体粒子から選択される請求項30に記載の方法。
- 前記フィルムが実質的に一軸延伸される請求項16に記載の方法。

- 前記フィルムが、順次、4:1〜6:1の第1延伸比で、次に1.5:1〜3:1の第2延伸比で延伸される請求項39に記載の方法。
- 10μm以下の平均有効径の微細繊維を含むミクロフィブリル化表面を有する延伸された脂肪族ポリエステルフィルムを含むミクロフィブリル化物品。
- 請求項1に記載の微細繊維を含むミクロフィブリル化物品。
