Abstract
【解決手段】 液晶表示装置10は、液晶層13を挟んで相互に対向する、前面側の上部基板12及び背面側の下部基板11と、上部基板12の前面側及び下部基板11の背面側にそれぞれ配設される上部偏光板23及び下部偏光板21と、下部偏光板21の背面側に配設される反射板22とを備える。液晶層13と反射板22との間の距離Dが、0.8mm以下である。

- 液晶層を挟んで相互に対向する、前面側の第1の基板及び背面側の第2の基板と、前記第1の基板の前面側及び前記第2の基板の背面側にそれぞれ配設される第1及び第2の偏光板と、前記第2の偏光板の背面側に配設される反射板とを備える液晶表示装置において、
前記液晶層と前記反射板との間の距離Dが、0.8mm以下であることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 画素のピッチが0.33mm以下である、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記距離Dが0.1mm以上、0.6mm以下である、請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 画素のピッチが0.28mm以下であり、前記距離Dが0.7mm以下である、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記距離Dが0.1mm以上、0.5mm以下である、請求項4に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1の基板が、アクティブマトリクス基板である、請求項1〜5の何れか一に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1の基板がカラーフィルタを備える、請求項6に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第2の基板と前記第2の偏光板とを1枚の偏光フィルムで構成する、請求項7に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記液晶層がネマティック型液晶層である、請求項1〜8の何れか一に記載の液晶表示装置。
